Reparations
"X... Us humans will need reploid protection... You will provide that, won't you?" "When has reploidkind ever left humanity hanging? This war will not be your gallows, I assure you." "...What do you mean, X?" A shiver ran down the ambassador's spine. The atmosphere of the meeting, already tense and slightly dangerous, grew cold and foreboding. X was beginning to look less and less human, less machine, more like an animal toying with its prey. "When has humanity returned their debt to reploids? For centuries, it has been us defending and protecting you. And for however long this war, this genocide lasts, we will continue." X drew a shuddering breath- the breath of a reploid pushed too far. "But there will be reparations. Humanity will repay its debt." "Far more reploids will perish in this war than humans, and it will be a sacrifice. Do you understand this? You humans will order my kind to their deaths, however needed you think they may be, and you will do it again and again because you think we do not suffer!" A crescendo of rage- centuries worth of spite- rang in his voice. "We are expendable to you humans, are we not? We are not equals- we never have been. Don't you cower away from me!" The governer yelped. X was descending from his throne at the head of the council. Rage danced in his eyes and made them glow like fire. "Foolish, do you not remember that reploids can't harm humans?" X laughed cruelly. He backed the poor governor to the sealed door of the council room, shoved him against it. "Oh, but that's only human lies and propaganda. " X grabbed the governor by the throat and hefted him into the air. Blood stained the white walls.
