Partnerships are expected with businesses that have figured out ways to make leather without cows, silk without worms and fabrics from recycled waste.
Btw one of the most promising fibers right now is a silk-like material made out of discarded oranges and/or industrial juice processing waste, pioneered by two southern Italian ladies at Orange Fiber ( background/context: Southern Italy and Sicily especially have a venerable and abundant orange production tradition due to centuries of Arabic heritage importing the plants and establishing the taste for citrusy goodness - from fresh ones to confectionery to perfumes - there :D ).
