A collection of random post-war clone thoughts
Any and all remaining Alphas get the haran out of Dodge to the point people wonder if any Alphas really did survive the war. Essentially they initiate a version of ba'slan shev'la, a strategic disappearance. Just, you know, not like Death Watch. however, those on Mandalore know that the likes of Maze and Spar are still kicking. But not a single person can think of an Alpha that became part of the Empire.
Alpha 17, while still working through his PT, writes a number of manuals on war. Exclusively in mando’a. Once he’s gone thru physical therapy (which he does eventually complete after a LOT of kvetching), he does freelance training for anyone NOT affiliated with the Empire and/or Death Watch.
Sheres, while still doing custom beskar’gam and buy’ce work, furthers his medical experience to eventually become an endocrinologist that works exclusively with mandos and/or clones. His first patient? Yeah, 17. (steroidal therapy for pain)
Jaster essentially turns sociologist/psychologist given his experience in the field (...dealing with 17). He does a number of studies on both mando and clone culture. His real love is of course child rearing, essentially child psychology.
Althan is pure anthropologist. He becomes relatively (in)famous with his tricking of aruetiise, telling them exactly what they want to hear about ancient mandos. Like 17, he writes the REAL stuff in mando’a. His big thing is explaining the evolution of the Resol’nare.
Out of practice (as usual) and just a quick thing but I really wanted to draw my Inquis and not feel shame/anxiety about drawing for once.
Since I refuse to have my clone OCs and clone OC adjacent (such as Alpha 17) to go the stereotype route of being mercenaries or bounty hunters once the war ends, I’m currently trying to figure out what Alpha 17 would do. I know I already decided Jaster is basically a con artist but like, in a Robin Hood type way where he cons the rich idiots of the galaxy instead and uses the money to care for his young charge but idk if 17 would help in that endeavor?
I’m kinda tempted to have him ‘ghost write’ military manuals and stuff. The only problem is those manuals would likely be used by the Empire and I don’t see Alpha “they grow up loyal to the Republic or they don’t grow up at all” Seventeen as wanting to support the Empire in any way whatsoever. Obviously many clones do (it’s hinted that Cody is one of them who trains the stormies and then I think Wolffe might have as well in order to have the contacts he did with the Empire). But 17... or any Alpha? I can’t see it. Yeah the Republic treated them like shit but the Empire is absolutely not better. and because the Alphas don’t follow Order 66 (and have no chip if we wanna go that route) they would have to become Imps of their own free will and desire.
Althan supports the Empire only a little while, becoming an Imp Commando. He has a chip but I’m thinking I might say it was inert and so he was never ‘activated’ for O66. I haven’t decided yet and i dunno if maybe that is just a little too convenient/unbelievable? I mean he could have had it removed but who would know to do that for him?? So many clones didn’t learn this. Why would a cadet? Out of thousands of cadets?
Either way, maybe A17 could be like a ‘security consultant’ or something. But only for planets/organizations/companies that aren’t Imperial. So like he could be a security consultant for Lando for example but he wouldn’t take an assignment from Corellia or any company that is based around Corellia.
My clone children + how they sleep (with the assumption that like many military folks, they all are able to settle and sleep wherever they need to and when they can so mostly focused on how they sleep in the bunks/regular beds)
Sheres: When sleeping in a regular bed, tends to dangle one leg over the side, spawning the joke he is always half ready to spring out of bed.
Hyran: Like his brother, except he hangs an arm over rather than a leg.
Cyclo: Sleeps on his side, with barely a sheet on him. (good thing he doesn’t sleep in the nude I guess)
Nas: Always needs a weighted blanket to feel comfortable.
Althan: Has slowly graduated from fetal position to sprawled out spread eagle, often with sheets twisted around a limb or his torso.
and bonus Wolffe because I adopted him and fandom keeps fucking doing The Thing: When in a typical bed, he prefers the head of it to be slightly raised and he sleeps on his left side. If has the right number of pillows, one will be tucked behind his left hip to aid in keeping him on his side. And none of that ‘creepy prosthetic eye sits in a clear container full of water’ business. Instead he has a small box (think the box necklaces/earrings come in) that he uses. He used to sleep on his right side but after losing his eye, resting his head on that side is understandably painful.
Blindside | Icon for Hire
anyways i just noticed I kinda have a theme going
Sheres: lives for the ‘present’ while having a name from the ‘past’ (Fett) mixed with the name of living in the present (Shereshoy) Althan: lives for the ‘future’ while having a name from the ‘present/past’ (Daraliit).
clearly I just need like a clone firmly stuck in the fucking past but with a present/future surname
