13. Would you choose to live in your f/o’s universe.

ABSOLUTELY. Any universe with hot vampires is a universe I’d want to live in. I’d wait for a day I thought I looked my best then immediately go and get myself turned. Would it be a stupid decision? Of course. I’d still do it regardless. I’d probably do it regardless of my f/o anyways, but monster hunting does sound like a lot of fun!

20. What’s a common argument between you and your f/o?

While I can see going behind Adrian’s back and getting turned into a vampire as a STRONG point of contention, I imagine most of the ‘arguments’ to be passive-aggressive ones where there’s some meaningless issue that’s a cover for the real issue of lacking trust. Less prone to verbal arguments and more prone to on-again-off-again cycles. Nickole helps Adrian come around eventually though.

For the ask game, 3, 4 and 10!

Hey, thanks for the ask! I’ll specify here that the F/O in question is Alucard/Adrian Tepes.

3. What do you like about your F/O?

I think I’m drawn to characters who are brooding and lonely. I have a type, and so does my S/I, Nickole. I think I relate to characters who feel lonely but have to push it down and refuse to rely on others, but knowing the pain that comes with it personally makes me see Adrian and want to do everything to make him not lonely, and to actually feel cared for and loved.

4. What do you dislike about your F/O

Adrian is kind of annoying on purpose sometimes. He feels the need to be sarcastic and dry in order to test people in all sorts of regards. He’s also quick to be judgmental and kind of defensive when directly provoked. Least to say, the man does not have good conflict resolution skills. Between him and Nickole, I could see fights between them where they both say things they’d later regret, though for Nickole, it’s rather immediate.

10. What are your attachment styles?

After refreshing my brain on the different attachment styles, I’d have to place Adrian in the Disorganized attachment category. It’s not hard to tell that he has trust issues, and that would seriously affect a relationship with him as he craves emotional intimacy yet fears abandonment and thinks it’s better to distance himself prematurely. On the other hand, Nickole (and by extension, myself)’s attachment style has grown more secure over time with routine therapy work. By no means is it perfect, and those last vestiges of Anxious Attachment still are in her mind, she’s moving into more Secure territory. This leads to a push-pull relationship between them where hopefully, with enough patience, Adrian comes around, seeing how Nickole will give him the space he needs, but make sure to check up on him and be there when he needs.
