Muggle Love
A/N: Hey guys! This is my first ever fanfic and I hope you enjoy it. Yes, you are a muggle. Sorry😅😅
Chapter 1
You were running, you had to catch your train or you'd be late for the first day of a new semester. You were a psychology student and it was one of your biggest desires to be a Psychologist one day. You woke up late as your alarm didn't ring. It wasn't normal for you to be late for something, you valued time above all.
You were out of your breath. Then suddenly you bumped into someone. Someone rather mysterious. Everything you carried fell and was now scattered everywhere. You quickly collected all your stuff while mentally cursing your luck and that man who didn't even care to apologize. You did hear him mutter "can't even watch out" which made you even angrier.
You turned to him and called out, "Hey Mister!"
He seemed to ignore you.
"Hey you, dressed-in-all-black!" This time he turned to see you.
As he turned to look, you saw his dark appearance. He wore a black shirt with black pants and even his shoes were black! He had shoulder length dark hair and onyx eyes which seemed to hold no emotions. His eyebrows furrowed as you called him by that name.
"Yes, I am talking to you," you approached him and took a few moments to breathe.
He raised his eyebrow as if waiting for you to continue.
"You just bumped into me, resulting in all my stuff to fall and I am even more lat-" You turned to see your train leaving and realized in the rush of all this you totally forgot about that. You became even more mad and red now.
"Oh God NO! Look what you did! You made me miss my bloody train!" You starting mumbling 'no, no, no, no', when the man finally spoke.
"Will you just calm yourself down woman? Its a train, you'll get another." You knew you won't and you sighed but when his voice reached your ears, you slightly shivered. His voice was low, cold, deep and…..soothing but also a bit scary.
He was turning to leave but you couldn't just let him.
"Stop! You can't just go! I won't get another train for the next two hours and it's all your fault."
"My fault?" He objected and added, "I don't think it is my fault you are too clumsy."
"I am WHAT!? You apologize right now, mister."
"Apologise for telling the truth?"
"You are a horrible person, you have no courtesy to show to a woman!"
"You'll regret saying that, miss."
"Oh really? Why? Will you curse me?"
He raised his eyebrows and thought it best to remain silent. He could really curse you, of course. But you being a muggle, he couldn't do anything. He let out a sigh at last.
"I'm sorry, miss." He said almost sarcastically.
"You men should really just give up at the very beginning." You smirked and were pretty proud of yourself.
"I should really go now." You said.
"Who asked you to stay?" He said almost under his breath but it was loud enough for you to hear. You did raise your eyebrows displeased with the comment but he already began to walk away and so did you.
You were so amazed by this man's nerve. He was indeed the strangest man you ever met with the most peculiar voice. His dark and cold appearance made you curious.
Who was this guy? Where did he come from? Why was he here? Why is he so angry and mean?
Questions flooded your mind. You decided to go back to your flat, you were aware of the fact that by the time you'd reach your college, all your classes would've been over. You hated to admit it but this strange, mysterious man was all you think about on your way back home. You regretted not asking him his name. Although you did seem to hate him at first, you wanted to see him again and know more about him.

A fortnight later, here you were again, waiting for your train to arrive at the platform. You were scrolling through your phone, reading news. You came across news of a huge number owls being spotted in daylight and people in cloaks. "Weird days." You thought.
You heard your train approaching and put your phone aside. You took a deep breath. 'Another day, another opportunity.' You told yourself. It was just two weeks since you had begun with your Ph.D. Yes, you were gonna be Doctor (Y/N) (Y/L/N) after this.
You still thought of the dark-haired man sometimes, his voice, which was just some cruel words but you were hoping to see him again someday and little did you know that the day had come.
As the train stopped, you waited for the people to come out. As you saw the people exit, you also saw someone far from the crowd. The same dark figure. It was him. Definitely him.
Even if you saw him just once, you couldn't mistake him. He seemed to be looking for something or someone.
It was your time to go. You couldn't miss another train for him. Or you could.
"Screw the train! I am gonna talk to him." You thought and through the jostling crowd, you hurried towards his direction. You followed him and tried to keep up the pace with him but he was too fast. He now seemed to be trying to go unnoticed.
You reached a somewhat isolated place and found yourself in a dark alley. But he wasn't there. Did he just magically disappear? But he could not, of course.
You turned to walk away, disappointed, but stopped when you felt someone grab your hand.
He pulled you towards him.
"What do you think you are doing?!" You snapped at him and you were taken by surprise to see it was the man you were looking for.
"I shall ask you, what are you doing here? You shouldn't be here!" He said with utter displeasure but you smiled. Somewhat glad to hear his voice. Your smile soon vanished as you felt pain from his grip.
You looked him in his black eyes, "I followed you, of course."
"And why?"
"Well," you didn't have a real reason. Taking a moment to continue, you added, "It is because I wanted to speak to you."
"Then be quick and leave."
"I..I didn't get your name your last time." You smiled.
"That's it?! That's why followed me?" He sigh and realising he still had hold of your hand, he let go.
"Stupid muggle!" He muttered.
"Excuse me! You have no right to call me a stupid… I-don't-know-what!"
He gave a deadly glare and you tried to change the topic, "Still don't know your name."
"Why would I want to tell you my name? I don't know you and I definitely don't want to see you again."
" 'Course you wouldn't," you said sarcastically with a cheeky smile, "Well then! I'll let you know my name. It's (Y/N) (Y/L/N). Now your go." Even in the whole mess, you stayed positive. Optimism was your best quality, at least that's what your dad says.
He let out a sigh but answered, "Severus Snape. Now just leave, will you?"
"Severus Snape. Nice to meet you." You held out a hand in hope he would shake it but he didn't, instead, he grunted. Obvious enough, you quit. "Snape, like snake with a 'p'?"
He grunted, "Yes."
"Snape. Severus Snape." You repeated, letting the words roll off your tongue.
"Will you stop repeating it already?" He snapped.
"Whatever you say, Mr. Snape." He grunted again.
"I'll leave you now, Severus. See you soon." You bid him goodbye with a wink.
"No, you won't."
"Oh, believe me, I will." You replied with a cheeky smile.
You turned to go when he once again grabbed your arm and you to a wall.
"What in the name of devil?!"
"Shh! They're here. They know."
"Who's her-"
He quickly put his hand to cover your mouth. "I said Quiet!" He whispered.
You could see fear in his eyes. He looked worried and so were you. You two were so close. Your heart pounded. Faster every second. You looked up at him. But then you realized he was worried about something else. Someone was here. Someone unwanted.
But who exactly?
