             the   lights   were   flashing   ,   music   pulsing   through   the   floor   ,   and   amaya   felt   like   she   was   standing   on   top   of   the   world.   around   her   was   a   sea   of   people   ,   everyone   a   blur   of   champagne   bubbles   and   exhilaration.   a   few   hours   earlier   she'd   played   a   quick   set   on   jimmy   kimmel   live   ,   nailed   it   of   course   ,   and   the   moment   she   came   off   the   stage   the   familiar   emptiness   started   to   set   in.   amaya   just   wanted   the   high   to   last   a   little   longer   ,   surrounded   by   strangers   who   didn't   know   her.   "i'll   take   another   sea   breeze   ,"   she   shouted   over   the   music   to   the   bartender   ,   knocking   into   the   person   next   to   her.   "shit   ,   sorry   ,"   she   giggled   ,   holding   her   hand   up   in   apology.   "two   left   feet."
