I wanted to thank her for the small talk. Maybe my words wouldn’t sound exactly as in my head but at least I could try. A simple “thank you” was so cliché but what else would I possibly offer to someone whose heart was taken by my twin. Every kind of a gesture might only worsen the situation. Luckily, my hand was healing fast and thank god for that because I didn’t feel like justifying my stupid behaviour in front of my brother- unless the news has already been passed on from mouth to mouth and I was about to have a small talk again with a much bigger moral this time. Nevertheless, I forced myself to drink that coffee. The day was in its midst but my eyes were still red from the sleepless night. I should be writing notes to myself every day and sticking them on my forehead so I could remember what NOT to do! Today, I should have one with a big “L” and every time I’d pass the mirror my narcissistic self would scream it to my face. I heard their voices through the open window. The conversation was like half-muted but I knew I was the main topic of their discussion. But that’s not what I was worried about the most. I still had to deal with two people – the closest person to my soul and heart and the other one a stranger who entered my life with a storm. Time wasn’t on my side today and with every minute I felt like I was approaching the end of one of those things. Shaking head with disgust for myself I decided to fix at least one thing I could do-and I didn’t want to waste any more time with that. I left a note on the counter, right by the plate with food as I knew she’d be back to clean this mess after me…as always… “Words don’t hurt me, people do! And you’re always there to check if I'm OK, even before he does. My note doesn't say what I’d really like to but I think you know…you always could read our thoughts…that’s why he’s with you, that’s why he’ll never leave you…I only hope he’ll forgive me"
- Thank you @eilalima for this! It’s amazing. No words to describe my feelings right now! You’re the best and I’m so glad we met!
