Meet Up (Closed Starter)

The weekend’s ended, which means-

“Time for school again,”Both twins sighed. It was still an hour early, but they decided to leave the dorms to try and find their friend. Maybe they could hang out outside a bit before class started. It wasn’t long before they spotted the familiar blonde haired girl. Sharing a grin, they split up, hoping that they hadn’t been spotted yet. 

Amber hid behind a tree while Jasper bounced up to Harley.

“Harleeey! Good Morning!” She stopped right in front of her friend. “How was your weekend?” She resisted the urge to check where her sister was as she talked. She didn’t have to resist for long because soon Amber snuck out from behind a tree and closer to Harley.

“RAWR!” Amber roared with a grin, as she popped up and wrapped her arms around her friend.

Lost Twins (Closed Starter)

“Geez Shine, Why’d you have to run off?” Jasper scolded her Cleffa, now safely back in her arms. The Cleffa just waved her arms happily, oblivious to the fact that the twins were far from any area they knew well.

“Well, they say pokemon take after their trainers, and you run off everywhere,”Amber joked. Her gastly bobbed next to her in agreement.

Jasper huffed and looked around,”We need to find something familiar...” “Oh, what about there?” Amber pointed to a store before walking ahead.

“I said something familiar....” She followed her sister anyway

“We can go in and ask for directions!”Amber pointed out, opening the door. “Hello? Hey! We need help!”

Hatching Time

It was only fitting that such closely matching eggs hatched at the same time. Yet it still came as a surprise to the girls they belonged to when both eggs started cracking.

“Are they breaking? Did we break them?” Jasper asked, crouching down and poking her’s. The egg shook and cracked more, causing her to jump slightly. “Are they hatching?” Amber asked, crouching next to her sister. “I think they’re hatching, yeah!”Jasper announced.

And sure enough after about 10 minutes of cracking and shaking, the eggs broke and two little bunny pokemon heads popped out. The twins grabbed their respective pokemon and jumped up!

“They hatched!” They cheered. “Plua?” “Minunun?”

“The eggs are shaking a lot...I hope Jasper comes back soon...” Amber mumbled. Her sister had to talk to their teacher about something boring.

“Hey, Jasper. I see an easy target!” Amber hummed, She took a bite of her sandwich before pointing out to the street where a pair of trainers were arguing about strength or strategy.

“Oh my, that old argument, huh? How about we show them what really matters in a battle?” This was something they did a lot during their lunch hour. They watch the streets as they eat for a pair of people to double battle. Usually, they like to pick people who don’t look like they’d have good synergy, just to show off.

“Okay, this was fun at first, but what do we do with them?” Jasper asked, holding the incubator that was handed out after they got their eggs.

“The incubators do most of the work, we just have to make sure we don’t lose or break them until they hatch,”Amber informed, Her incubator was sitting on her desk, safe.

“I bet it’ll be fun having baby pokemon around,”Jasper mused. Shine huffed and tried to squeeze in between Jasper and the egg. Jasper laughed and petted her starter,”Don’t worry, you’re fun too!”

“I heard that they’re actually a lot of work,”Amber said.

“Really? Don’t we just treat them like we have been our partners?” Jasper asked.

“We got our partners way after they hatched I think. I heard from the upperclassmen that they need a lot more care the first few weeks,”Amber looked over at her egg, and bit her lip.

“I hope our eggs hatch soon...”They both ended up saying. Looking at eachother, they started giggling.

Jasper was the first to recover,”It would suck for the people who have less time to train!”

Amber nodded,”Stronger or not, knowing your partners is important, and so is making sure they can last through a battle!”

((I’m not sure if I sent this already but)) 🥚 🥚 one for each! Though they’ll have to wait 1 week until the surprise.

Amber and Jasper were sitting in class. Jasper had her head in her hands, and was kicking her legs under her desk, Shine was cuddled between her elbows. Amber was resting her head on her desk, sighing. Shade was hovering over her. It was the first day back to school. School was boring! Especially the classes where they were stuck at a desk.

Their teacher, Mr. Parks, came in with a basket full of eggs. Jasper perked up, and poked her sister to get her to look. Amber glanced over to see what got her sister excited, and sat up.

“I didn’t know we were getting breakfast in class today!” One of the other kids called out.

Amber rolled her eyes, but both twins laughed along with the rest of the class.

Mr. Parks chuckled as he set the basket down on the table,”No breakfast this time. Sorry. These eggs are strictly off the menu. In fact, I’m sure many of you have heard from your upperclassmen about a 3rd trimester project for your year. This project is to take care of one of these eggs until they hatch, and then raise them until the end of the school year. At the end of the year, there will be an evaluation, which will include a battle using only the pokemon you hatched. There will be a difference in hatching times, but everyone will have plenty of time with their pokemon as all of them should hatch by the end of the month.”“Sir? Won’t pokemon that hatch earlier have an advantage?” One of the girls asked.

“Not really. You see, the pokemon species with a shorter hatch time are usually naturally weaker. All pokemon have their advantages and disadvantages. It’s the job of a trainer to over come disadvantages, and make good use of advantages. Now, let’s start at the top of the list-”

Amber was second to pick her pokemon, and when she got up there, she noticed that there were two that were similar and, after getting her sister’s attention, pointed at the yellow and red one, and held up the yellow and blue one that she had chosen. Jasper grinned and nodded. The sister’s passed by each other, and Jasper picked up the egg her sister pointed to.

When both sisters were seated, they pulled out their Rotom Phones under their desks and started searching possible pokemon. It wasn’t long before Mr. Parks cleared his throat, and motioned for the girls to hand over their phones. They sighed, but did as they were told. They’d look it up when they got their phones back. For now, they were stuck listening to a lecture about how to properly take care of eggs and baby pokemon.

Nightime Playtime

Shade, the ghastly, floated lightly over his trainer for a few moments. The lights were off, curfew having been in effect for a few hours, but it didn’t hinder the ghost type’s vision. He nuzzled his trainer’s cheek. Amber turned over, but her pokemon was not deterred. He floated over to nuzzle her again.

“Shaaade,”She whined, rolling away,”Noooo...We’re not playin’ t’night….”

Shade didn’t give up, and kept nudging his trainer until she sat up and glared at him. “Fiiine,”She whispered,”But we gotta be quiet.”

At the ghastly’s nod, Amber got out of bed, straighted her PJ’s, grabbed her shoes, and tiptoed to the door. She was tense all the way down the hallway, and out of the dorms. She let out a sigh. Sure there was still a chance she’s get caught, but there were more places to hide outside.

She grinned and nodded at her pokemon. The two of them darted off, running around the outdoor battle field they were nearby. They weren’t going to battle, no, but it was fun to chase each other in the open. 

When Amber got tired of running there, she ran towards the shrubs. Shade floated behind, and they weaved in and out, occassionally ducking down into one with quieted giggles when they thought someone might be coming. Eventually Amber sighed, and brushed any dirt off of her PJ’s. “Okay…”She whispered,”Playtime’s over. We have to get to bed.” Shade nudged at her to try and keep playing, but the trainer shook her head,”Nope. We have class in the morning, and I for one still need sleep. If you come quietly, we’ll take Jas and Shine out with us next time.” The gastly thought about it for a moment, looking into his trainer’s pleading eyes, before nodding. The pair headed back into the building and sneaked into their room. She slipped off her shoes, and fell straight into bed.

“Had fun out there you two?” Came a voice from the other bed.

“Jasper!” She stage whispered, and sat up,”What are you doing up?” “Not sneaking out like you apparently,”Jasper didn’t seem angry. Infact, she was giggling from where she was peeking out under the blanket.

“You caught me”Amber giggled with her.
