Summary: Every time an amber moon rises you make your way to a clearing in the depth of the forest. Because every time the amber moon rises above the clearing you’re able to see Hyunjin again.
A/N: I wrote this for the last tipsy drabbles, which were a whole while back.. but I totally forgot posting this?!
You peaked out of the door as you opened it, making sure the streets were completely void except for the darkness covering the world like a blanket. Once you saw nobody you slipped out of your home, pulling the hood of your black cloak over your head. You headed towards the forest with hasty steps.
The cool air caressed your bare face and arms while the wind played a lonely melody as it howled through the trees. Next to it only your steps on the ground and an occasional crack of a twig could be heard.
You looked over your shoulder, noticing the amber moon rising over the horizon. Soon enough you wouldn’t be able to see it through the trees once you were deep enough into the forest. You had to hurry, if you wanted to reach your destiny before it was too late.
Your cloak fluttered behind you, nearly getting caught in low bushes but your brisk pace pulled it right out of it again. There was no definite path you followed, though the amount of times you walked it definitely left a small trail. Thanks to it, your way became a lot easier since you barely saw anything within the dark. Yet, you knew the way to your destination by heart - even without the trail you wouldn’t be troubled reaching it.
As the amber moon rose in the night sky you finally reached the clearing in the middle of the forest. The usually lush green grass now enveloped in a layer of dew, making it appear silver.
You walked into the middle of the clearing, looking up towards the sky. The rim of the moon glowed above the tips of the trees and it wouldn’t be long until the full moon shone down on the clearing.
The crack of a twig caught your attention and you slowly turned your head back down, looking towards the edge of the clearing. Between the shadows a large, grey wolf stood there and watched silently. His eyes were trained on your form as he slowly stepped into the light.
The wolf stayed far away from you, his head now turning to the moon, even though most of his attention stayed on your form.
You followed his example, watching as the moon rose in the sky until the light of the full moon shone right down on the clearing. You inhaled deeply and closed your eyes, feeling the energy rising within the air.
Only after you heard growling that soon enough turned into groaning, did you open your eyes again.
The wolf had vanished. Instead a young man with dark hair until his shoulders was crouching in its place. The moon light illuminated his pale skin.
“Hyunjin”, you spoke with a smile on your lips.
His head snapped up, eyes glaring at you with venom deeply rooted inside of them, his plush lips pulled back into a snarl and his nose scrunched, showcasing how much the curse of being a wolf had affected even his human behaviour.
You ignored the obvious hatred that pulsated within his body, still smiling at the most stunning man you had ever seen. You stayed in place, knowing better than to approach Hyunjin - even though you knew how to protect yourself. Your eyes met and your smile widened even more while his frown deepened.
