We’re Going on a Clue Hunt - F2F - Amber & China

Mortified was putting it small. China was absolutely done with this trip and everything to do with it, including Liam at the moment in time. She honestly should have seen it coming; they were always interrupted, but she didn’t remember not locking their door in her haste and upset yesterday evening when she got back. As a result, China had spent the day alone trying to just explore and clear her thoughts. She was wandering aimlessly around the Grand Staircase when she thought she saw movement out of the corner of her eye. China looked toward the top of the staircase quickly, remembering the stories before she came here of a ghostly woman being seen up there... Surely this was just hysteria. But her eyes were stuck to the spot, as if waiting for something to happen.

This place gave her the creeps, that much was certain. China wasn’t sure she would ever be able to get a wink of sleep here, and knew she would be going home more exhausted than when she arrived. She quickly did a scan of the place, mentally noting any reasonable exits if shit got too bad, before she found herself at the door to Amber’s and Jessica’s room. China knocked lightly, remembering her promise to give Amber a million hugs when she saw her. She would be lying if she said she wasn’t nervous. Yes, her and Amber had talked a lot but it was her first time meeting someone who was clearly such close friends with Liam. After a moment and a slight noise of permission, she entered the room and gave the blonde a smile: boy was Amber glowing at the moment in time, growing her little boy was certainly doing her well. “Hey, just wanted to check and see if you’re settling in okay? Do you need anything?” She asked, cautiously, figuring that going straight in for a hug may have been a little overkill.

There’d been some what of a rigmarole in getting Liam and Chris to get the gift for Amber to the correct house, mostly because, once it was built and set up, China was certain she was not undoing her hard effort on it. So they were a little late, but not by too much. They got it hidden away for now until they would collect it later, and while the boys dealt with that, and Holly had been introduced to Scarlett, China found her way to the garden and walked toward Amber with a smile. 

“Wow. You are... glowing.” She commented with a smile in the other woman’s direction, opening her arms out to give Amber a somewhat awkward hug thanks to the baby bump.
