I hope you had a good ask box break :) I have a question regarding sibling numbering and sworn brothers. LXC calls NMJ da-ge but what if LXC already had an older brother that he called da-ge? Would he just use a different term for an older brother for the sworn brother?

Lol if that were the case, it’d get a little confusing....so like... okay if there was a third Lan brother, older than LXC and LWJ AND he’s older than NMJ, then it’d go something like this, probably: 

NMJ to Lan #1 -> Lan-da’ge 

NMJ to LXC -> Xichen/Er’di

LXC to Lan #1 -> xiongzhang

LXC to NMJ -> da’ge 

Lan #1 to LXC -> Xichen/Er’di

Lan #1 to NMJ -> Mingjue 

NHS & JGY to Lan #1 -> Lan-da’ge 

*If Lan #1 is younger than NMJ but older than LXC erm, everything above would stay the same except: 

NMJ to Lan #1 -> his name 

Lan #1 to NMJ -> Da’ge or Nie-da’ge or Mingjue-xiong.

Netflix. Oon kattonu sen LGBTQ-tagin läpi muutaman kerran. Siel on semi-vahva vaihtuvuus leffoil et se on sekä plussa että miinus sen kans...

Those people oli sellane leffa että tbh ei tavallaan mun juttu koska siinä on muutamia juonipykäliä mitkä aiheuttaa itelle sellasen sisäisen ulinahetken siitä, että miksi pitää tunkea draamaa kun voisi olla iloa ja hyvää mieltä.

Ja silti palaan kattoon sitä uusiksi jostain vitun syystä.

Also katoin Shadowhuntersia (ja katoin uusiks ne kaudet muutamanki kertaa) 95% Magnuksen ja Alecin suhteen takia. 

Fiilistä joka kerta. Atm aloin taas kattoo jotain compilaatiota siitä suhteesta youtubesta ja perkele.

I've been trying to figure out how to ask this the right way, and I apologise if I didn't succeed. I've started reading Tales from the Special Branch a couple of times now, and every time it makes me uncomfortable how Harry seems to hold all the cards. It might just be because we're in Draco's POV, but it keeps making me sad that he's so affected and Harry doesn't seem to care at all. Will that change as the story progresses, or should I accept this one isn't for me?

I think that’s a vaild question. Tales from the Special Branch absolutely starts off with Harry holding all the cards. One of the things I wanted to play with in this story was what would happen between Harry and Draco if they started a sexual relationship in a post-war power imbalance. That’s definitely there. 

But that imbalance shifts along the way. They start out in just a consensual sexual relationship where Harry does have those cards, but I’d say pretty early on Draco starts to have a hell of a lot more control, even if he doesn’t believe he does. Over the course of the story arc of the first two books Harry changes for Draco, starts to leave behind this jaded asshole version of himself that he’s constructed after the war to keep people at bay, tries to make himself a better person for Draco. (It’s the inverse of the usual Harry/Draco trope where Draco becomes better for Harry, which, as a writer, I’m enjoying working with.)

And I can honestly say here at the beginning of Book Three that’ll start posting later today, I have never, ever, ever written a Harry and Draco in any fic I’ve done who are so absolutely in love with each other, who are working to make themselves better people for one another, who are trying to make their way through the trauma of the post-war experience together. 

So, I hope that helps? Harry’s not always a nice person in Special Branch, and neither is Draco, but I do love imperfect characters who learn to move past those parts of themselves and make themselves vulnerable enough to love and be loved in return. Honestly, I think those stories, even if they’re hard sometimes can be so very, very worthwhile in the long run. I really hope Special Branch ends up that way for people, but the journey might not be everyone’s cup of tea, I realize.

ETA: Oh, and i should say that once you get past the prequel that was written for Kinkfest, you get more POVs than just Draco, so you see the struggles Harry has too. I wanted to do that deliberately, getting into both of their heads, because I think showing one side of a power imbalance doesn’t give you the full story. So yes, once the books start, you definitely get to see how affected Harry is by this relationship with Draco too. <3
