“Tell me who did this to you.” with Roceit(Roman to Deceit more specifically but it's fine if it's the other way around)? Also! Idk WHY but a lot of your stories from this blog are popping up on my dash now and lemme just say, you are a damn good angst writer 😅
(Ahhhh hello!! I’m sorry for my angst coming up XD But thank you!)
Deceit is an arrogant and dramatic jerk most of the time. He usually means well, but it is what he is. It’s fine, Roman doesn’t mind it. In fact, he rather thinks Deceit fits in well with the rest of them.
So when one day Deceit is summoned to finish an argument between Patton and Logan and he doesn’t do his usual over-dramatic spiel, Roman’s pretty certain something’s wrong.
He approaches Deceit over at the dark side of the mindscape, mostly to keep Deceit at ease, but Deceit doesn’t respond to his concerns, just shrugging.
“Just talk to me!”
“No.”
As Deceit turns and leaves Roman yells at him to come back, and he freezes as Deceit goes rigid and turns, something cold and angry and hopeless in his eyes as he walks over.
“...Um, thanks for returning?”
“Just get on with it,” Deceit hisses, “what do you want?”
“I-I wanted to know what was bothering you earlier.”
“Die curious, Princey.”
Deceit rubs his arm almost uncharacteristically, and Roman sees his sleeve slip, showing deep red marks circling his wrists.
“Deceit, what’s that?”
Deceit turns to leave, and Roman grabs his arm, pulling the sleeve up as Deceit screams and yells and struggles, revealing bruises and burns and deep ropeburn around his wrists.
“Dee...tell me who did this to you,” he whispers, and Deceit screams louder, screaming for the other dark sides to help.
“We don’t want any of your lot around him again,” Remus snarls to him as the dark sides pull a sobbing Deceit away from him, “go away.”
Roman is left alone, wondering which of his friends hurt Deceit that badly.
