I sneeze and sheepishly look up at my fellow transients. Their eyes accuse me of breaking the silence. It's deadly quiet, except for the beeps and whirs of the cafe, and the occasional shouting of an order. We all seem to be trying very hard to ignore each other. I even feel guilty for my occasional sniffle, I must be seen as crass to shamelessly draw attention to myself like that, this isn't the Internet you attention-whore! So we sit here surrounded by hundreds, pretending we are alone. Modern society is a marvel.
