She wasn’t happy about the partnership. But in the interest of time, and given that she was desperate --- she didn’t exactly have another choice. The rest of her friends were off to another town, trying to find some other trace of Stefan. And she was stuck here. In a town that rained nearly every day of the year, with a pack of wolves that would probably turn her into a vampire snack, forced to chase down every last lead until the trail went dry and there were no more bodies to uncover. Caroline turned to look at the brunette, rolling her eyes before she dropped her folded arms and sighed. “Can we just get this over with, okay? I’m not here to screw with you guys, I’m here to find my currently slightly-deranged best friend before he kills anyone else.”
