Photo 2 shows the remains of the GIANT statue of Roman emperor Constantine, at the Musei Capitolini. The head, arms and legs were made of marble, while the rest was made of brick and timber. The brick and timber body is long gone, but the marble has survived. The statue was originally sitting, pointing towards the sky, and was around 12 meters (40 feet) high. Unbelievable. Photo 3 is my favourite bridge in Rome, the Ponte Sisto. It leads into one of the coziest neighborhoods of the city - Trastevere - and it’s said to have been financed by Rome’s courtesans and prostitutes, through taxes they paid to the Papacy. But they obviously didn’t get their name on the bridge… Instead it’s named after pope Sixtus IV. AND ONE ALWAYS HAVE TO REVISIT ROME DARNIT!!!
