Made in Chicago, this amp was produced under a couple of labels, but for only 2 years. This pristine 1949 was actually a one owner amp until I purchased it in 2015 from its 85-year-old owner. He purchased it in 1949 and used it until the 1970s as his professional square dance caller amp that the guitarist also plugged into. If you read online, this is an “out of my cold dead hands” amp. This one’s owner had it for 66 years! Try it and see why. 2 6L6, 8 tubes, 12″ speaker, tremolo, built like a tank. That black bar you see sticking out on the top of the bottom chassis is actually a foot actuated tone control! Back then you sat behind the amp - so PRESTO - hands free tone change.
