Amya needs artists!

Hey, folks! So quick signal boost for my lovely friend Savannah over at Amya Chronicles. Rebecca, who’s been the primary artist for the comic since it started, is moving on for personal-related reasons. To help Savvy find a new artist, I’m boosting the message to my readers here on Tumblr. To clarify: this is a paying job requiring a ~4-year commitment. Info below the cut.

Hello everyone,

Today’s update is a heavy one, as I have a bit of news to share.

Due to personal reasons, Rebecca must step down as lead artist in six months time. She will continue to be part of the team in short story and promotional art capacities. We are henceforth looking for a new artist to take up the mantle. Worry not, we are revising this chapter to make sure it ends under Rebecca, for a more smooth transition.

You will need to provide us with:

Examples of your black and white sequential artwork.

Examples of your colour work.

A realistic projection of the minimum and maximum pages you can complete within a month.

Things to keep in mind:

We would ideally be looking for a 4 year commitment to finish the project.

Our standard rate is $75USD per page.

We would be looking for the artist to start within 6 months, to help build a buffer.

I have some news to share with everyone and that is that I’ve been selected to pick up the mantle of lead artist for the webcomic Amya! I’m very excited about this opportunity and I hope that the readers will accept my work as well! I know it’s difficult to get used to when artists transition in and out of creative works and while I know I wont be able to replicate Rebecca’s work, I hope you’ll enjoy what I bring to the table for this comic. 

I was commissioned by @writersavvy to do various sketches to warm up and get acquainted with the characters better so I hope that this’ll give the readers a small glimpse of how I’ll be handling the comic from now on. I want this transition to be as smooth as it can be so I’ll be trying my best, wish me luck!

I’ve been working on pages for an Amya short comic again and completely neglected to post the updates for each one T^T.

Anyway, I’ve been working on these in addition to Everblue these last few months, and it’s helped me speed up a lot. Once I’m done with these, I’m sure the momentum I’ve gained from them will carry over into Everblue updates :). I’m super thankful for the team over at Amya giving me another opportunity to work with their script and characters!
