1: What is your character’s biggest fear?

That she’ll never find love in any capacity and if she gets the opportunity she’ll ruin it :)

11: How did your character meet their best friend?

She was running an errand and saw An’samar standing in the sacred fountain of her people that nobody was ever meant to touch. He was drinking from it.

22: What is the worst thing your character has ever done?

She took a holy relic of An’samar’s people and kept it without telling him.

31: What social media would your character use?

Oh god I have no clue She kinda becomes one of the main public faces of Vactum’s coalition of knights (I haven’t decided what they’re actually going to be called yet so that’ll do) so I guess she’d be on whatever social media this galaxy/universe has? (This is an area of worldbuilding I never thought I’d consider)

48: How would your character type?

Always with proper punctuation and grammar. Typing any other way would just be weird.

2: What is your character’s favorite memory?

An’samar has a nice memory of when he first started learning to fight with an axe. His whole family was there, he began an important part of his life according to his culture, everyone was happy, he got to watch his mum stylishly thrash his dad in a fight.

3: What is your character’s least favorite memory?

Watching his mother have a dizzy spell and fall and hit her head on something hard and then die because she was dehydrated because she was giving him her water was pretty bad. Having his left (dominant) arm get mangled into an unusable mess is a close second.

21: Is your character flexible?

It depends if he’s made a promise on the subject. If he has, there is nothing in the universe save him dying that can prevent him from carrying it out. If not, then he’ll be moderately flexible on it. (He is exceedingly careful making promises.)

37: Do people have justified grudges against your character?

There were probably a couple people he wronged when he made promises without learning all the details beforehand, and he did his best to make amends. Aside from that nobody really has any issues with him.

43: What is your character insecure about?

He hates it when he thinks he fails people and is terrified that somebody will call him out on it.

7. Did they have lots of friends as a child? Did they keep any of their childhood friends into adulthood?

An’samar didn’t really have too many friends, there weren’t many other kids close in age to him in his clan. He had some friends from the other clans, but they only met rarely so he only really had one from another clan that he thought he was close to. That didn’t last into adulthood because [spoilers]

11. Do they have any special diet requirements? Are they a vegetarian? Vegan? Have any allergies?

Nah he’ll eat pretty much anything.

19. What’s their least favourite genres?

Tbh the whole concept of fiction is kinda weird to him? It’s unlikely that he’ll read or watch any fiction. 

32. What do they dress like? What sorta shops do they buy clothes from? Do they wear the fashion that they like? What do they wear to sleep? Do they wear makeup? What’s their hair like?

He really doesn’t care about his looks lmao he’ll just wear whatever’s comfortable. He doesn’t wear makeup and his hairs usually just in whatever unkempt state it happened to be in when he wakes up.

40. Do they like energy drinks? Coffee? Sugary food? Or can they naturally stay awake and alert?

He often gives off a vibe that the only reason he’s still awake is that he’s consumed ungodly amounts of caffeine but in reality he hates it and never touches it.

49. What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them?

He has a magic axe that he got from his home before it was destroyed. It’s one of the few things he’s still got from that so he takes it pretty much everywhere.

2. If they are human, have they ever questioned man kinds place in the universe? If non human, do they ever judge humanity on it’s nature?

She didn’t really think about it on such a large scale until she began learning that there was in fact an existence beyond that of her homeworld. Even then it was kind of a big concept for her to grasp.

8.Who is the most important person in their life (could be a relative, romantic interest or a teacher)

There was one dude in her backstory called Jayid who was really nice to her, and showed her how to manage things like sensory overloads n stuff, but he was, uh, kinda forcefully ejected from her life. And life in general. Because he died. She also has a teacher who she’s pretty grateful for, considering she’s one of the most important people in the city and she’s spending time on some random orphan girl, but they aren’t super close.

10. What is a talent they which they didn’t have?

She feels that she can become too intense when she’s interested in something, and that that kinda makes people shy away from her, both because she would work at it until she knew as much as she could about the subject and then allow that subject to flood any conversations she’s in.

17. If they do not have any kind of super natural abilities, what kind of powers would they have? If they do, how would they be different if they did not have those powers?

She does have powers! She’s something called a Waveseer, which among other things lets her see visions of the past. If she didn’t have powers, she never would’ve been taken in by her mentor, and thus never would have met An’samar or done any of the amazing things she eventually does with her life. She might’ve made something of herself, though, just not through magical means.

18. What events have changed their lives?

Becoming the apprentice of the Sayr is one of the main ones, and then accompanying her on a mission into the desert in which she meets An’samar and Cay’lia are the main ones that don’t involve spoilers.

1. Do they have a nickname, and how or why did they get it?

An’samar was given a nickname by his mother and sister, which was ‘Sam’. It’s an incredibly exotic sounding nickname, and commented on as such whenever somebody hears it.

5. Do they have any siblings, if so, how many and do they get along?

He has an older sister, Cay’lia. They used to be really close, but then the two started keeping secrets from each other after An’samar lost half of his left arm, which just started creating awkwardness between them and they kinda drifted apart. Still important to each other, but not trusted with absolutely everything like they used to.

9. Do they have any weird hobbies?

He tends the drakes (picture velociraptors with crystalline scales, and you get fairly close) for the clan, which is regarded as strange by the rest of the clan, since drakes usually try to maul any who try to get too close to them and this dude without an arm somehow managed to tame a whole pack.

14. What is their worst habit?

He has a tendency to force himself to follow dumb expectations (like never ask for help, or never cry). He also kinda lets people do what they want with him if he thinks its an expected thing to do?

19. Are they a lover or a fighter (or both)?

Probably more of a fighter. He isn’t very good at conveying to those he loves how much they mean to him.

1. Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?

An’samar has a sister, Cay’lia who is a couple years older than him. They used to be pretty close, but then An’samar had an accident that resulted in him losing an arm. After that, they became more distant, mainly due to Cay keeping secrets from him.

9. Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?

He used to be the son of a well respected and fairly wealthy desert clan chief. Then the people the clan had to buy supplies from raised their prices a lot. That, mixed with some politicking, made him the son of disgraced and poor clan chief.

11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

An’samar doesn’t get scared very easily, but I’d say waking up and realising he’d lost an arm was probably it. Stuff like that can be an issue in the desert.

21. If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?

An’samar’s usually pretty level headed, so he takes the blame when its his fault and puts it on others when it’s theirs. The exception is the accident. He thought it was his fault and spent a long time berating himself for being stupid and careless. He’s wrong about that, though.

33. In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?

The person most critical of him is himself, which leads to a mixture of his being self-deprecating and willing to improve. He’s generally a lot better than he thinks he is, however.

4. Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?

To be honest it’d probably be seeing just some normal family being happy, which made her realise how much she wants that. She occasionally sees visions, but so far so far they haven’t really affected her. Yet.

15. Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not?

She doesn’t really care about material things, she’d much rather have friends or family or really just anyone loving her in any way, shape or form. She does think the special crystals she studies are cool, but her interest in them is purely scholarly, and not related to their considerable value.

22. What does your character like in other people?

She’d pretty much die for anyone who vaguely likes her, a category of which not a great deal people have fallen into so far throughout her life. Bonus points if they listen to her rant about her research, or any other areas of her interest.

23. What does your character dislike in other people?

She dislikes those who treat her badly. Most of the people she’s interacted with in her life have fallen into this group, usually either telling lies that hurt her and help them, and by listening to those lies without hearing her side of the story and punishing her for it.

41. Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?

What she wants most is to be loved. Her gut tells her that she deserves it, but she hasn’t been given it and thinks that because she somehow doesn’t get social interactions (due to her autism) she shouldn’t be given love until she’s like everyone else. Her gut’s right, of course.

This is Jaren. He flirts with everyone for everything. He doesn’t even need a reason, he just does it. He’s good at it too, stars know he’s practised it enough.

Faden. He’s kinda doing that right now, since he didn’t bring any to the temple everyone else is meeting at in the D&D game and he can’t be bothered to hunt/buy his own, so he just takes everyone else’s. He’s certainly sampling everything, and he he’s not paying anything, so they count as ‘free samples’, right? 

20. most likely to sing better than expected

An’samar is a surprisingly good singer. He used to be one of his clan’s up and coming musicians. Before his arm got mangled into a bloody pulp and he couldn’t bear being near the other musicians without being able to drum properly. But he’s still got a really rich and compelling voice, even if he hasn’t sung in years.

24. most likely to go to a party just for the food

Probably Vactum, both before the shenanigans that put them in power occurred, and after. They’re horrible at attending to the various mundane necessities of life, so free food would have been immensely useful and one they had access to food they’d do it just to be dramatic.

You might think this would be Faden, but that’d involve him being near people, a concept that he loathes. And in the alternate universe where he doesn’t hate pretty much everyone, he’d actual enjoy going to parties and other weird extroverted things like that.
