LILLIAN BLAND, who was a prototype of Amelia Earhart, and who literally could care less about anybody else god I love her
ANA NZINGA, a badass Angolan queen, who kicked the Portuguese out of her country and then made it rich and didn’t CARE AT ALL like GOALS
GERTRUDE BELL, 19th century explorer/traveler who gave zero fucks
JANET FLANNER, Parisian correspondent for The New Yorker for over 50 years and who probably smoked every day and liked dicking around with her editors and was I think lesbian? (i checked she was bi HELL YEAH REPRESENTATION)
NANCY MITFORD, 20th century British novelist who made a lot of jokes and didn’t give ANY fucks (also any of her sisters (she had 5!) who were also cool as shit)
EMMELINE PANKHURST, British suffragette, who smashed windows and was pt in prison and did hunger strikes and oh yeah thought ARSON was going to be a great tactic for getting the vote hell yeah
speaking of arson, EMMA GOLDMAN, sassy Jewish lady who tried to assassinate people with her anarchist boyfriend HONESTLY GOALS and wanted to burn things and supported birth control and probably gave the middle finger to men EVERY SINGLE DAY OF HER LIFE jesus I love her sooooo much
oh shit i forgot DJUNA BARNES who was a poet and novelist and Jazz age person in Paris who was part of the lesbian scene and was a best friend (slash maybe lover?) of EDNA ST. VINCENT MILLAY, badass bi poet who you all should read because REASONS
