What’s your opinion on FPGA retro game consoles? Do they count as being authentic alternatives to the real deal?
I guess I’m not super up to date on them, really. Everything I’ve heard makes them sound like they’re about as accurate as real hardware. It’d have to be, for something like the Analog NT to be this crazy designer piece of hardware for insane collectors and rich weirdos.
Analog even straight up says on their website that the NT is compatible with every single game and third party accessory.
I guess I can’t speak for anything else using FPGA, but I’d assume it’s probably similarly good, assuming the build materials held up.
