I already answered this tag as myself, but I've seen others answer for their characters and thought that would be fun! So all these answers are for Amber from A New Age of Magic.
1. Are you named after anyone?
Amber's first name doesn't come from anyone, but her middle name, Anne, is from her maternal grandmother.
2. When was the last time you cried?
As of my current place in this wip, about two days ago.
3. Do you have kids?
No.
4. Do you use sarcasm?
Absolutely - it's a necessary coping mechanism.
5. What's the first thing you notice about people?
With her current life situation, probably whether or not they approaching her in a threatening manner and/or if they're familiar.
6. What's your eye colour?
grey-blue
7. Scary movies or happy endings?
Definitely happy endings.
8. Any special talents?
Apparently magic, though that's a recent discovery.
9. Where were you born?
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada
10. What are your hobbies?
Reading, watching movies, hanging out with her friends, trying to keep Emily from getting arrested
11. Have you any pets?
Not unless a dragon magically bound inside a stone counts.
12. What sports do you play/have you played?
None. There is not an ounce of athleticism in this girl.
13. How tall are you?
around 5ft
14. Favourite subject in school?
In high school it would have been English, but in university she pursued sociology and anthropology.
15. Dream job?
Essayist - maybe. She's not sure. It's hard to know if you really want something until you've tried it.
Rules: Answer the 15 questions as your OC or yourself. Tag up to 15 people.
I've already answered this for myself, and my character Amber, so now I'm answering for another character: Farida!
1. Are you named after anyone?
No, Farida is just a pretty name her parents picked for her.
2. When was the last time you cried?
A few days ago, when revisiting one of the last places she had spent time with her grandmother.
3. Do you have any kids?
Nope.
4. Do you use sarcasm?
Occasionally, but it's more often directed at her than used by her.
5. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Probably how quick they are on their feet/whatever grace or lack thereof they carry themselves with. She was trained to fight from a very young age, so subconsciously sizing people up tends to happen.
6. What is your eye color?
Brown.
7. Scary movies or happy endings?
Probably leans more toward happy endings, but isn't opposed to scary movies.
8. Any special talents?
Alongside general training for fighting, Farida is highly skilled in magic, an ability she spent most of her life believing only her family possessed.
9. Where were you born?
New Brunswick, Canada
10. What are your hobbies?
She used to love helping her grandmother in the garden.
11. Do you have any pets?
Not really. Bennu is a trusted ally and a weapon to be used with care, but not what one would consider a pet.
12. What sports do you or have you played?
Farida never really played sports, unless sparring with her cousin counts.
13. How tall are you?
About 5'7"
14. Favorite subject in school?
Farida didn't actually go to school, but she enjoyed learning history from her parents and grandmother.
15. Dream job?
Normal employment isn't a thought that has ever crossed her mind, largely because her fate/role in life was already decided for her. But maybe in a different life she could have been a nurse or something along those lines.
-
And a blank set of questions, to fill in more easily:
1 - Are you named after anyone?
2 - When was the last time you cried?
3 - Do you have any kids?
4 - Do you use sarcasm?
5 - What's the first thing you notice about people?

My seven lines are taken from Book 4 of ANAoM.
At Farida’s silent nod, they squared their shoulders and moved toward the door at the end of the hall. It was unlocked, the hinges giving only the barest squeak as the door swung open.
The office was a disaster. A bookcase lay on the floor, wood cracked and splintered, books and folders scattered across the floor. Sickening splotches of blood stained the thin, once-beautiful area rug covering the center of the room. The mahogany desk had been knocked askew, the papers on top in disarray. At the window, the curtain rod had come loose, one end resting on the floor, the thick red drapes pooled together by gravity.

Here's the latest seven lines from Book 4 of A New Age of Magic:
The vicious crack of breaking bark and falling branches tore me from sleep.
I flew to my feet, instinctively reaching for a necklace that wasn’t there, crying out for my friends to wake up. The night air was still and cold. Overhead, the usually bright stars were dim, obscured by the green glow overtaking the field. The yellowed grass looked verdant again.
I couldn’t smell smoke. That didn’t stop me from choking.
Rules: post the first 7 lines of something - it can be a WIP, a chapter, a scene, anything.
Gently tagging @tabswrites @zmwrites @authorlaurawinter and anyone else who wants to try.
I'm gonna share the opening of the latest scene I'm working on for Book 4 of A New Age of Magic:
I was hyper-aware of the hum in the air when we trespassed on the Singing Sands. [Redacted] were suitably alarmed by the squeaky sand under their feet, and the night was filled with an absurd chorus as they stomped and laughed under the grinning crescent moon.
I couldn’t bring myself to join in their excitement. It was incredibly late and I was bone tired. Collapsing into the sand and being lulled to sleep by the hush and roar of the waves sounded downright idyllic.
But I was also buzzing. Not just with energy from the magic that blanketed the beach, but with nerves – fears – too many thoughts about what had to come next.
No pressure tagging: @iced-ginger-tea @stesierra @tabswrites, and whoever else wants to join in. Your vibe is Do you ever shut up?
My vibe was I need a break. From Book 4 of A New Age of Magic:
“Every time it feels like we’re getting ahead…”
“I know,” I murmured.
For a long moment, we sat in silence, dread and despair weighing heavy on us. Eventually, Farida shifted closer, resting her head on my left shoulder. She was taller than me even when sitting, so it was an awkward position, but I accepted it nonetheless and wrapped an arm around her.
I'll gently tag @mxxnlightwriting @saintedseraph @arionawrites and whoever else wants to join. Your words are cling, sigh, jaw, and pale.
Try [A New Age of Magic, Book 4]
I had stared him in the face all those weeks ago and been too scared to even try to fight. What if I had ended it all right then?
Wind [The Willing and The Chosen, Book 1]
It made for an isolated drive, the roar of her bike’s engine the only sound to accompany her. The surrounding woods were mostly pines, but a few maples and birches swayed in the wind, gently showering Ella with red and yellow leaves as she sped by.
Bird [A New Age of Magic, Book 4]
“You left me powerless!” she roared. The birds perched in the nearby trees took off in a cacophony of caws and flapping wings.
Gaze [A New Age of Magic, Book 4]
She rolled to her feet with enviable grace and crossed the beach to stand in front of me. At her full height, I had to tilt my chin slightly to meet her gaze. A remnant of old fears rolled through me.
