Why? Dwarves can barely have children as it is and if mage blood is reviled non human blood is unacceptable. Leaves another huge succession issue as with widowed anora
It’s not like Cousland and Alistair can have children either??? Alistair straight up says it’s near impossible because of the taint, Alistair is already at a disadvantage, even with Anora. So by that logic, Alistair shouldn’t bother marrying Cousland either.
Edit: And again as non-human blood goes, at least with Aeducan Ferelden gets a tighter lyrium line, while Cousland offers nothing but name and maybe alliance (but apparently they don’t have too many (strong) allies left if Howe kept Highever till death). So again by logic above, Cousland is just as bad, if not a less politically advantageous option.
