Sorry for the month+ wait! A future chapter had me stuck for a while and I do like to be ahead on these. I know this one is a bit shorter, hopefully the next chapter won't take so long to get posted.

There were a few dialogue changes here in comparison to the games, but nothing too crazy. Just changes to better fit the tone and slight changes to the story. Honestly, the chapters getting to the temple turned out a lot longer than I expected and are looking to be about 3-4 chapters rather than the original 2ish.

Despite all the formatting errors between libreoffice, my editing program, and AO3, I finally got this chapter up! It's a bit on the shorter side, but its an important transition to the rest of the story.

Also, there has been a tag update, so please look at those before reading!

okay! Finished Chapter 9! I have not r written in literally months so like. It kinda sucks? Or maybe I'm being hard on myself, idk.

It's about 3k words long and is a little silly I think but I think fits well in the humor of the story so far. I'll def have my partner read it over later as they're a great sounding board for these things.

I'll try and edit Chapter 8 when I wake up and get it posted!

okay okay I got chapter 8 mostly written. I need to go in and add some missing scenes that are. Hm. Not originally planned whatsoever!

It happens!

Not sure when I'll be able to get them written as I need to start doing a better outline for the story besides my list of headcanons, writing out my ass, and memorization of the games (oops)

Also I wanna eventually put together a "cover" of the story. Kinda debating on whether I wanna just do photo manipulation of the game cover or if I want to actually draw something different. Not sure.

Okay! I decided to finish chapter 7 a little earlier than I planned as it was getting to be a bit long and I did come to a natural stopping point.

It has a little world building, a little action, and a little sass from our favorite dragonfly.

And we cannot forget the Implications, of course.

I'm still editing chapter 6, but it should be up hopefully soon.

I dunno why this chapter was kicking my ass, but it really was. I'm still kinda iffy on this one--especially the latter half of the chapter with its pacing and such. But if I keep working on it then it will never get posted, so here it is. We start getting into some of the mild gore, violence, and blood and injury tags here. Just a heads up!

Okay, chapter 6 is finally finished! Last week was super busy for me, so I'm behind on editing chapter 5. I'll try and get it all smoothed out and post either tonight or tomorrow with any luck.

I'll try and start chapter 7 as well, since I do prefer being ahead on my chapters. The next part of the story is going to be a bit difficult for me to "novelize" due to the nature of turning a video game into a book, but I do have some ideas that I think may work out.
