Sorry, but I have a pet peeve that I've been stewing in for too long to repress any more-

I hate when fics refer to Bucky as Russian. Even if it's just him and Nat bonding over some Russian thing or him enjoying vodka or whatever.

Because he's not Russian.

The people who captured, tortured, brainwashed, and used him for decades were.

I can't imagine he's got a lot of good associations with Russia.

You might as well have him be fond of Hydra and pine for... I dunno. Their sharp uniforms and sense of purpose.

My Favorite Character Types:

*winner of the ‘You’re the Worst!’ award

*thematically mishandled villain

*some incredibly minor side character almost no one’s ever heard of, much less cares about

*secondary character with some important scenes, but story isn’t really about them

*canonically dead

It is impossible to travel faster than the speed of light, and certainly not desirable, as one's hat keeps blowing off.
