•Having a slowburn situation with Rocky is interesting to think about, as Rocky isn't really someone I see going slow about anything. Any relationship with Rocky is a rollercoaster of emotions, but it's not impossible to imagine something going slower.

•You've seen each other a few times now, only from a distance. Maybe you're a regular either at the cafe or at the speakeasy, or maybe you even work there, but for whatever reason there's never been an opportunity to talk. 

•It's hard to miss Rocky in a crowd, and you've certainly interested him too with the amount of times he's seen your face in the vast sea of people frequenting the Lackadaisy in its glory days. Eventually, the stars align and you two finally get to meet.

•Rocky is the type of person to get infatuated with people really quickly, once you’ve caught his eye, there’s no going back. Especially if you are someone that matches his levels of energy and eccentricities. But if you aren't as social as him, don't fret! Rocky can and will do all the talking for the both of you, as long as you can handle him and enjoy his company just as he enjoys yours, you two will be great. A friendship with Rocky is pretty effortless as long as you give him the time of day.

•It doesn't necessarily start as something romantic, it's just this platonic crush sort of situation that makes him constantly seek you out. The both of you get to a point where you can consider each other friends.

•-And he doesn't have that many friends, so after a while of being like this, your kindness and patience towards him ought to pay off, and it doesn't take that much longer for him to start going a little insane over you.

•Considering Rocky’s feelings are probably a lot more fast paced than yours, he's likely to be the first to fall into the pit of doom and eternal yearning, doesn't matter if he's first or second though, it’ll hit him like a truck either way. Even if he doesn't realize he's fallen in love yet, his change in behavior is very noticeable to anyone outside, that is, slightly obsessive. 

•He wants to know everything about you, where you're from, your interests, your life story. Not in a stalker way, but in a “he can't get enough of you” way. He could hear you talk and talk all day, a melody sweeter than anything he could play. 

•He's not exactly sure what to do about it next. He'd be so oblivious on whether you like him back or not, partly because he can't imagine you ever looking at him that way. He would 100% pester Freckle about it non-stop, either by just talking about you or constantly asking for advice, of which his cousin has none. 

•He’d do anything and everything to impress you and make you smile/laugh, and of course, he'd be more than glad to do whatever you ask of him. He lights up like a Christmas tree any time you reciprocate and show affection. I also think he'd get a lot more protective/jealous over you, Rocky is certainly not intimidating on a surface level, but vague, crazy eyed insinuations of murder can get the meek folk to back off, not that you'd ever find out.

•He’s not much of a romantic, at least not in the traditional sense. There'd be a lot of poems written, which he'd be too scared to show you, but at least you get to hear the violin pieces he dedicates to you. His theatrics level up when it comes to you, he would use a ton of flowery language that you can't get yourself to tell him you don't understand, and looks forward to complimenting you on anything. He’s very cryptic about it, as he is with all other things.

•From this derives the confusion of it all. All of this dancing around the wording and saying a whole lot of things but never quite getting to the point, you start to get confused about things. Sure, you notice he's gone a bit more dramatic about it all, but you don't get why it happened yet. At this point, it's up to you to catch on to what is going on and make your move. 

•Let's just hope you're confident enough to go for it, or else you can say hello to many many months of a will-they-won't-they that drives everyone around you crazy. It's not like that for you two, though. It's that giddy, sort of puppy love, the type of crush you'd get on a classmate or a childhood friend. And if you don't mind the messiness that comes with being in his life, maybe you two can be good for each other.

Then again when he realizes the situation he's in.

"No, no, no, no!" he shouts. "No, no, I'm sorry, this is not what it looks like!" He can faintly hear Zofia's snorts when his voice rises several octaves. "Wrong door—"

Xiǎo Hé sneers. "The bathhouse only has one door."

Fucking hell, he's going to throw himself off a cliff.

It was ugly and there was no denying that. The fabrics had not wanted to behave, and the stuffing was everywhere. To the point she was still pulling it out of her vacuum cleaner even when she swore that none existed before she started. It had seemed easy enough. and then she started sewing the damn thing together. A choice she regretted as her finger tips were sore to the touch. But she would not be defeated. Even days after it was meant to be done. 

Next time she would know better. Next time she would have started earlier. Next time she would not be fooled by the supposed three day instructions. As it was, she came through the front door. Not caring who was there or what was going on. She had just drug a ninety five pound six foot diameter bean bag up the stairs. 

That stupid elevator was going to be the death of her. Baz said it was fine. Clint, the Landlord, kept telling them it worked perfectly. But nooo, it had to just not opened the doors. Jay should have been at a barbeque. But that was neither here nor there.  “BETH! BEEEEETH!!” Jay heaved the bag up into her arms. Managed three steps and then everything shifted. Down. Down she fell, beanbag bed and all. She swore in every language she knew. Her but taking most of the impact before she was felled by blueish grey and white fabric. 

Swallowed under the item she had crafted out of love. Blood, sweat, and one single tear going into the making of Brutisimus. That was the name she had given it. A parallel to the famed animatronic of ye classic horror movie. Because it had been about as big of a pain in the ass as Bruce had been.

“Someone?!” Jay called out, a wheezy sound as she was being half smothered. only her hands and hair being shown under the behemoth of a present.
