Who don’t I ship He Xinglong with? Like I said, the Yu Qing Tennis Club is so very shippable with each other.
Lu Xia- They literally have nightly tennis dates already. And you know how serious Lu Xia is about that. And how sad he was when He Xinglong didn’t show up that one day! It’s slowburn af, but very solid foundation.
Qiao Chen- The cook & the consumer. Okay, this one starts out as Qiao Chen hanging around because he loves He Xinglong’s goose and that’s not a euphemism, okay? and then He Xinglong drags him to the kitchen to cook. Qiao Chen still steals bits to taste as he cooks, but the two of them spend literally all their off time working in the kitchen together now and Qiao Chen is getting a feast for his body & his eyes.
Yan Zhiming- It starts off as He Xinglong just wanting Yan Juice to not kill everyone whenever they drank it. Look, it can be nutritious and still taste good, okay, Yan? Yan agrees, but he keeps the very sour version as punishment/incentive for the Yu Qing Tennis Club. Yan starts to realize he has a “He Xinglong journal/data” and then he has “Tennis journal/data” and he’s gonna approach this in a very scientific way.
