There is something very satisfactory about breaking language to its bare essentials. Sometimes it’s like breaking down a thought.
stop lying to get attention from your ex, he doesn't care.
my life does not revolve around trying to get some cowardly jackass to pay attention to me.
Not that it’s any of your business, but I was clearly in the hospital, judging from the posts and photos of me being in the hospital, and the prescriptions, and the big pile of discharge papers, and the bracelets and hospital bands.
I mean that’s just a lot to fake for attention, especially as you suggest, attention from one. fucking. guy.
i kinda dont like that you call yourself hell witch bc i am an actual witch and i guess it just rubs me the wrong way bc witches are already portrayed in a negative light and i feel like you're helping the stereotype that witches are evil (bc when i think of hell i think demons and evil) also when using wiccan you're not even supposed to use names like hell bc i can bring in negative energy. idk i just im just a little too offended you use the term so lightly
I do completely sympathise with your sentiment. I do.
The bottom line is, I’m a sci-fi fantasy writer. I write dysfunctional characters, many of which use and abuse magic. I’ve never once based my magic systems on real life (nor have I ever explicitly referred to wiccan practices within the narrative, because that’s not what its based on).
So when I use the Hell Witch persona, it’s a reflection of the characters I write because they make up who I am, and always have. I use the term Hell Witch very tongue in cheek to give readers someone to react to when I’ve written something particularly devious that’s separate from Me as a person. Because Me as a Writer is different from Me as a Person. And the Hell Witch suits that darker personality that only comes out when I’m writing. My readers know I’m soft little kitten in real life. They know that. They also know that when I write, I’m doing a very careful balancing act of playing the villain and the maternal/sisterly/mentor figure. I want to cause trouble, but also lift fellow writers up. That’s what I do and I bring my own energy to the phrase Hell Witch because that’s what it’s come to embody. And if I’ve ever given off negative energy to anyone, I don’t think that’s ever been the case, nor my intention. But the Hell Witch persona gives off the energy I put in, and that’s out of a place of love.
I think pitting witchcraft of fiction and reality against one another is entirely redundant and unhelpful. There are all sorts of witches depicted in fiction based on so many different made up systems and world building and most, if not all, are done out of a place of love for the narrative and characters. And that’s the place I’m coming from here.
There I go again with my obsession of linguistics.
