hey... it's around 5am where i live, but i want to talk about something. it's the hty snippet i shared a couple days ago. i found out just earlier that it caused anger among (ex-)mutuals because of the problematic phrasing... and looking at the snippet, it's absolutely justified. i understand why what i wrote wasn't okay at all and i want to deeply apologise for it — i did not have any malicious intention with it at all...
what i referred to in that sentence was the sexual aspect of hentai and the general expressions during p0rn, which i just now learned by a friend is called 'ahegao' (and thinking about it, i could've replaced it with p0rn/ahegao — or just not added anything to the 'you look so dumb' at all), but i didn't mean to come across as racist at all, or to refer to japanese women in general nor to japan in any kind. i didn't mention 'japanese' anywhere, either. anime/japanese girls are oversexualised online and portrayed and perpetuated as such in hentai, too, and i should've realised how harmful that portrayal is and not jumped aboard.
i'm so sorry that i executed that stereotype like this, and i do see why it looks like internalised racism. i want to educate myself on this... and i promise i never meant it to hurt anyone.
i understand if you guys are offended by it, i truly do... and i will definitely not use this in my fic and edit it out. i'm sorry.
