andato in gatta || Harold & Jade
Hands outstretched, the fire still burning the blackened remains of the tree died as Jade removed the threat of anything else catching fire. The grey smoke still rising from the affected wood blended with the colorful sunset, still managing to look oddly conspicuous, but not enough to draw immediate attention. No doubt guards would be on their way to the site within the hour, and so leaving the scene of the crime would most likely be wise. Jade wasn't quite sure if blowing up a tree counted as damaging government property, but it was well worth the adrenaline rush.
The smell of smoke clung to the fabric of her clothes, especially since she had accidentally singed the sleeves of her shirt after spilling a bit of nail polish remover and throwing a fire ball soon after. Jade picked at the burnt string, frowning momentarily at the ruined shirt before turning to speak with her partner in crime, smile on her face and eyes still bright from using her powers without restriction. "Right. Now that that's done, let's go get that bottle."
