send me a word and i will write a drabble with our characters:Brontide - The low rumbling of distant thunder.
"Where are we, Doctor?" Clara questioned, stepping out of the TARDIS. A pastel multicoloured layer of snow crunched beneath her booths as she took a few steps forward. The Doctor was leaning against the doorway, looking at her with his usual grin; he knew something she didn’t, and he also knew it would impress her. This happened often, but by now Clara had learned to simply go with it. She repeated her question, hoping maybe he would give her some sort of hint. "Come on, quit it with the secrecy."
"Oh, just a little planet known as Yrna 46B on the other side of the Milky Way." He jumped out of the TARDIS and pulled the door shut. "Bit of a way to walk to the right spot. Allons-y then Clara!" The Doctor then held out his hand for her to take, which she did, happily.
A few minutes later the pair stood on a cliff side, the snowy ground dropping off hundreds of feet to an ocean. The water was far away, but Clara could see it clearly; the water did not sway or ripple, it was completely still. In the distance the clouds swirled, various colors danced high in the atmosphere out above the calm ocean. Flashes of light were veiled within the clouds, just waiting to break free and descend to the water. It was a beautiful sight, and Clara found that she could not quite find the right words to even begin to describe how much she loved this. Their adventures were not all about the adventures and the running, which Clara loved as well, but days like this… They were her favorite, days where they would go somewhere and witness something that no one else could even imagine.
The Doctor came up behind her, soft footsteps crunching the iridescent snow. “Only rains once every three years, over this ocean,” he said, his voice no more than a low whisper against her ear. “And today is the day it rains. Look, and listen.” He stood up again at his full height beside her, putting his arm around her shoulder. Instead of looking at the storm the Doctor was looking at her face; he wanted to see her reaction, the smile that could shine brighter than any star.
Then there it was. The first lightning strike reached down to touch the ocean, and the air flashed violently in an array of colors, colors that she didn’t even know existed. The ocean came to life, graceful waves stretching up into the sky. Clara gasped, and in the following silence the thunder finally reached them, a low rumble that vibrated in their chests. The Doctor simply beamed as he watched her reaction, the way her smile reached up to her eyes. Content that he’d given her this sight and experience, he grinned and looked out to watch the next broken line of lightning reach from the clouds.
