Imagine Neil and Andrew's faces coming home after finishing their christmas shopping to see the cats destroying the Christmas tree. One is under it, trampling over the gifts, tearing the colourful wrapping paper to shreds, pawing at the baubles, and gleefully chasing after them when they fall. The other is harder to find, but when the tree begins to shake and a furry head pops out from between the upper branches, they both sigh. Of course the little fuzzball climbed right up the tree on its destructive quest. Why not? When the tree, cat, decorations and all, comes tumbling to the ground with a mighty crash, Andrew picks up his coat again and walks out.
"You wanted the little assholes" he calls back over his shoulder, as if Neil needed the reminder as he stands amongst the festive explosion. "So they're your problem. I'm outta here."
