Wild Child || Andrei and Dante
Dante was tossing and turning in his sleep, grimace on his face as he dreamed. Deep forest, untouched by man and mountains that seemed to stretch into eternity. A huge powerful body that was not his own, but as familiar to him as his heartbeat.
The moans and cries of the dead, pleading for their loved ones who still lived.
Dante jolted awake, rolling out of the bed and gasping for a bit of breath. His body ached and every joint screech a protest as he calmed himself enough to leave the bedroom to get himself a glass of water or something. He paused in the living room to look out Andrei's window, entranced by the half full moon.
'That is not mine. The new moon is mine.' something hissed in the back of his mind before all of the breath left his body as if he'd been struck. He must have made some sound as his knees hit the floor, but he couldn't have told you as his skin felt like it didn't fit anymore. It felt like something was pushing it's way out of him through every pore and he didn't hear the whining sound he made as he struggled to breathe.
Long, thick black fur was the first thing to push through, quickly followed by the crack of joints and bone until Dante had vanished and a huge wolf stood in his place, the shreds of what Dante'd been wearing shaken off disdainfully. It was an uncomfortable transformation, but now that the body had remembered how to do it the transition between man and wolf would be nearly instantaneous and painless.
Wolf grumbled to himself over being locked inside a human dwelling when he wanted room to stretch his legs. He stretched his huge form anyway, long and luxuriously. 'Now, to hunt that little rat of a canine Coyote.' he said idly to the moon. He turned and jumped back a little when he saw Andrei, hunching a bit defensively.
