5 years post-op!

It's been a while! In the last couple of years I've been on and off T again (this time for good). I've also had laser and electrolysis in between lockdowns for the hair on my chest and face. I'm very happy with my hair removal results. It's crazy to look back on how much I had before! I've had around 12 laser sessions over my chest & stomach area and 8-10 electrolysis sessions on the area around my tattoo I'm unable to target with laser. The tattoo area is still a work in progress, but I only anticipate needing another few sessions. I still have a little stomach trail, which I wanted to keep, and a little hair around my nipples that doesn't bother me. Other than that, I'm left with fine vellus hairs. My scars aren't that visible now and I don't do much for them anymore except keeping them out of the sun and the occasional rosehip oil massage. Sensation wise, I can feel light touch everywhere now, although the area around my nipples and scars are still not as sensitive as the rest of my chest. I probably won't do another update unless anything changes dramatically in the next few years, but I’ll leave this blog up in case it’s still helpful for anyone else. Feel free to send me any questions you have but keep in mind I regularly forget this blog exists now.

October 9th 2021. My chest at 8 years post op.

This is probably going to be the last photo of my chest. I never actually did make an updated post of my chest since I had my revision, and it healed. I had surgery in July 2013 and it’s October 2021 now. I had a revision in June 2019, where Andy removed fat from the left side of my chest. 

The upper photo is of my left side, and the lower is of my right side. As you can see, the redder stretched out scar in the upper photo is from my revision 2 years ago. I imagine it’ll always look like that, but the colour will fade to more of a pinkish tone, as you can see in other areas.

It made my chest even, and it’s perfect. Over COVID I gained weight lol, which is a bummer, so I’m not going to bother putting up a comparison photo of how it looks with my arms down. You’ll just have to trust that when I am at a good weight, it looks perfect.

With just 3 days until surgery it still hasn’t sunk in that it’s actually happening.

I will be having my surgery with Andrew Ives in Melbourne and despite there not being much info on his work online unlike Drs such as Garramone, I have full faith that he will do his best work.

Since this is my first surgery I’m absolutely terrified, but I’ve been distracting myself by watching reveals and writing little notes to remember when I’m gonna be in a hell of a lot of pain.

Surprisingly haven’t had much to say on the topic since school has taken over my life but if anyone’s actually reading these and has any questions just ask away.

I think this may be my last post :)!

I had surgery on my chest many years ago now, and I literally never use Tumblr anymore. Logging on here feels like a fever dream really. Plenty more people have had surgery with Andy since, and now there’s at least 1 or 2 other surgeons as far as I know in Melbourne who do top surgery. At this point, the healing concluded a long time ago, and now, the scars continue to gradually fade tiny bit by tiny bit over time.

I hope I have helped some of you, but I think it’s time to move on from Tumblr for good. You might see me around on other websites in the future, documenting other things relating to my transition. I do have an anonymous YouTube channel where I talk about being stealth and trans, so if you want the link to that, just get in touch with me. I’ll check back on Tumblr in a week or a month or something to response to any last messages.
