so, what's not clear from our posting order is that bruce meets rosalyn before he meets vivienne (they've just exchanged caustic emails). and rosalyn has a standing weekly session w bruce/he's a regular. so when bruce royally fucks it up w vivienne and none of his attempts to apologize are working, he has enough of a rapport w rosalyn to ask her for her advice.

she gives it (after staring at him for a long moment), vivienne still isn't ceding territory, but eventually bruce is just "hey so i know a really good massage therapist and you were complaining about your right wrist and she can help, i promise this isn't a trap."
