Re: MAC, a complete answer would require more time, space, & spoilers. But bottom line is she's a *hero* (and I do think that label should be emphasized) who can punch, kick, fly, & fight with the best of them, but much more importantly understands that love will save the world. (A debt owed at least partially to WW, no doubt, as is much of her character). Combine that with the fact that she presents as a queer Latina, and the result is she resonates powerfully with *this* queer Latina.
Totally fair. I think you and I have talked about her on twitter before, and about how I found her sort of stereotypical. I know people really like her, but I never felt it. I ended up never really feeling Young Avengers as a whole, though, so maybe I'd appreciate her more in another context.
