It’d been a late night at the Dive, shortly after closing and shortly after the employees had gone home. However, Seth stayed behind, trying to get the cash box tallied up and the lights turned off. As he went to hit the light switch, he realized there were men standing in the Dive— and his whole night shifted. The next morning, he finds himself at the shop, flashing past most of the crew, finding himself catching Andy’s eye. “Got somethin’ to run by you,” he says, his voice stern. As soon as they’re away and alone, Seth grits his teeth and speaks again. “The Rogues are still hangin’ ‘round. Saw a couple of ‘em. They came into the Dive last night after closing.” It had been enough to have Seth draw the gun from his belt, holding it steady as a warning to the men. He was outnumbered but God, the Devil, and the Reaper know, Seth Carter wasn’t going down without a fight. Thinking about it has Seth pulling a cigarette from his pack, lighting it up to burn away the tingling sensation— the anger that boiled under his skin.
