Maid In Arcadia [Lillie & Clorica]

Lillie had had weird roles before. It kind of came with the territory of being an actress. Somehow, despite knowing all of this, her agent’s request still took her by a rather awkward surprise. “A maid cafe drama? Really?” Apparently the movie was based on some popular novel or manga or some such. Lillie has never heard of it, but then again her job kept her so busy she never really got to read for fun anymore. It was a real bummer, and it was something she was trying to fix. But the reality was simple. She hasn’t had the opportunity to read the source material. So that was step one. Once that was done, step two came into play. And what was step two, you may ask? Method acting. So her agent scheduled a date for Lillie to help out at the local maid cafe. And so here she was, nervous and red-faced as could be. But, hey, that’s showbiz!

Elise was delight with her first applicant. From the phone call, she seemed like quite the lady. So also allegedly served the mayor of Leuda. Over all, this Clorica sounded like the perfect candidate to serve as her first staff member. They had agreed to hold the interview in her manor and so Elise stood quite patiently, Sir Lawrence held tight against her chest as she peaked through the nets, waiting for a figure to approach the grand, and pink, house.

The moment she did, she very quickly plopped Lawrence down on the nearest flat surface, rushing to the door as she waited for a knock.

An Exercise in Bonding || Max & Clorica

[♫] — When it came to his butler Clorica, Max would not only trust her with his housekeeping and meals, or the center of his world, his darling princess Mona... but also, his life. Though she had a bit of an issue with napping, Clorica was by far one of the most competent workers he’s ever had the pleasure of employing into his service.

And not only that--- she was a very pleasant person to be around, as well. She was cute, kind, intelligent... just the sort of company Max loved to keep. The girl was too valuable a presence to let slip through his fingers, and he would do whatever he could to keep her content and comfortable enough to stay with him.

Was he lonely? Psh, no. In need of a friend? Hmph. He had plenty of people who lined up for that chance, so hardly.

...That’s what he kept trying to tell himself, anyway.

At day’s end, just as Clorica was to leave for home, Max hails her down in the halls of his manor. “Ah, Clorica! Do you have a minute?” 

He smiles. “I had a few treats prepared over in the den, some sweets and tea blends I’ve purchased on my travels, and was wondering if you’d like to sample a few? You’ve been working rather hard lately, and I figured you deserved the treat.”

Cousins - Karina and Clorica

After her unfortunate meeting with Doctor Trent, after she had passed out on her way to her cousin’s house, Karina finally managed to find her way to Clorica’s doorstep. 

It had been a while since she’d been over to visit her younger cousin, and the Harvest Festival coming up honestly was the best excuse she could have asked for. Not that she needed one, but it was just such a pain to take the boat over by herself.

“(What if I fell asleep and fell overboard...?)”

As she found the correct door of the apartment, she gave a light knock. She hoped her lateness hadn’t caused her cousin to go out looking for her or anything. 

“(Maybe I should have called before I left the clinic... Oh well...)”

Looking for New Material || Clorica & Soseki

Sewing supplies. Goddess knew Evelyn had enough strewn about the house (their house, he corrected himself), but Soseki wanted to try branching out on his own a bit. His research was taking him to the sewing through the islands and right now he was at Thread by Thread. It was a very quaint store and he wondered why he hadn’t stepped in here before when he actually lived on Arcadia. Oh well, he was here now.

With no new project in mind, Soseki was left to wonder the store and hope inspiration struck. Pillows he was sure he had down pat but maybe it was time to try something more. Not exactly clothes, but maybe... Oh, he didn’t know. Something moving caught the corner of his eye and he turned to see someone who looked like an employee. Or, at the very least, someone who he was sure knew more than him.

“Excuse me,” he started a small wave. “Do you work here?”

✧ Pets are a luxury that Vishnal did not get to have much as a child. Maybe small animals he befriended outside of the house, but there were just too many heads already inhabiting home to justify adding a few creatures. It’s why he pays such dutiful attention to Remy, to make sure the little rat wants for nothing in the world.

✧ Bringing a cat into the mix might not be the best of ideas, but to him it’s the best one in the world if it makes he and Clorica equal on the pet-to-roommate ratio again. Besides, she’d smiled when mentioning it so much... could he really just let that slide?

✧ “Well, here we are!” He grins as he says it, brandishing out to Barley’s Animals. There’s no reason to announce it-- of course Clorica knows where they are, she’s the one in charge of this endeavor basically. But he feels the need to bring in some pomp and circumstance.

✧ “I can’t wait to see which one we-- you-- bring home!” He’s about to jump out of his own shoes, honestly. “They’ll be the cutest one in the world, I’m sure...”

Maid My Day

At the maid café, there were several hard-working co-workers and Laney was glad to be a part of the team. Since today's the Flower Festival, she decided to give them a token of her appreciation. She had a white calla lily and a red alstroemeria tied together in a pretty bow with a red satin ribbon. She handed them to each of her co-workers with a grin.

"Thank you for everything you do! Happy Flower Festival! Thank you for being such good co-workers, I've had the most delightful time working with you guys~"

Sewciable || Clorica & Vaughn

A soft creak of the door accompanied Vaughn as he entered the tailors. He rarely came here, his rudimentary sewing skills allowing him to make most repairs to his clothes. This, however, would need the touch of a skilled professional. He’d wondered if it would just be simpler to buy a new shirt rather than pay for this one to be sewed up, but these shirts could be pricey.

It only took him a moment before he found Clorica, the one he usually went to with his torn clothes. Once he trusted someone to do a job, he preferred returning to them.

Walking up to her, Vaughn held up his black shirt, specifically showing her the right cuff. The material had been gutted, the threads frayed and the button long gone. On the underside of the sleeve, a jagged tear ran up to the elbow. There was definitely a story behind this. “Are you free,” he asked. On his right arm, the same side as the tear on the shirt, bandages peaked from underneath the black shirt he currently wore.
