1. William Herondale, The Internal Devices

The character I have related the most for years. He's just a little bit too much like me: sarcastic, complex relationship with our families, too many many mental illnesses to count but the one we share is: thinking we're cursed and everybody we love will leave us or die at some point and we have problem connecting with people. Also, we have that Best Friend™ we love with all our soul.

2. Isabelle Lightwood, The Mortal Instruments

Though girl with a sweetheart interior, she's always so confident of herself and knows her worth and has clear what she wants in life, but what made me fall for her was seeing her human side: question everything and seeing that she's at the end of the day human and exploring her softness on people who has shown her kindness... Brilliant.

3. Ernest Sinclaire, Desire & Decorum

I just relate to him too: we both have been through hell when we were young– too young perhaps. Though he seems stoic and always grumpy, he has this soft side he allows to see the people who show him they're worthy, how kind and caring he is, and he has so much love to give, but he is afraid to get hurt again. He's also one of the most selfless people we see in here and with a heart of gold. Simply marvellous.

4. Anne Shirley Cuthbert, Anne With An E

She reminds me so much of a younger me: extremely kind, wordy, with an immense love for books, always talking and with a kind spirit, stubborn and fights for what she wants and loves. Anne's growth is so beautiful to watch and her resilience and how her spirit and kindness remain there no matter what she goes through, it's simply chef's kiss. She reminds me of the girl I could've been in a kinder world.

5. Billy Elliott, Billy Elliott

Of course, someone of my favourite movie of all time had to be here!! Billy's journey and self-discoverment is just so beautiful to watch: from being a scared child of his father and what the world will say about him to fight his own beliefs to make his dreams come true. How he comes from being insecure to literally shine, it's just poetic, and the ending always gets me emotional.

6. Genya Safin, S&B

The way this woman has grown on me entirely. I just love how resilient she is, and I can't help but sympathise with her vengeful and surviving side. It might not have been the best thing, but I think that, in her shoes, I would've done the same. We have a similar story with powerful men and despite our scars and questionable pasts, we always prove we're above them. She's simply my favourite Grishaverse girl so far.

7. Enola Holmes, E.H

I just love how smart, resilient, independent and kind she is!! We share our strong bond with our mothers, being overlooked and shadowed by our brothers and the entire world trying to make us stay in a place. I just love how she grows to let some people in and her self discovery.

8. Àngeles Vidal, Las Chicas Del Cable

Angeles is one of those people you can't help but love. She went from being shy and obedient to have this massive glow up, just like me. My favourite arc was her learning not to allow a man terrorise her and finding herself without a man, and the way she loves her daughter is so pure 🥺 she's one of the sweetest, most selfless and loving people.

9. Claire Elizabeth Beauchamp Randall Frase, Outlander

Claire is perhaps one of the best women created in the world. Kind, brave, loyal to the bone and one those people who never gives up on her loved ones. Her growth is one of the best I've seen. She's simply the best time traveler in the world.

10. Angel Evangelista, Pose

Can I say how much I love Angel? Her arc is one of the most complex and most beautiful ever. She's strong, but she has weaknesses and the way she goes from being okay to be a mistress to learn that she deserves to be #1 and can achieve anything she wants is just chef's kiss. And her relationship with *** **** is just 😍🥰
