“Would you like to explore with me?” Frisk asked still with a bright smile on his face.
Chara eyes sparkled as she replied with excitement, “Yeah!”
The two continue to hold hands and Frisk begins to lead Chara farther into the heaven side. They walked along a winding cobble stone road that passed by large farms and occasional houses. Finally the kingdom that was once in the distance was right before their eyes, it had large walls that toward far above the duo. Guards were walking along the wall with weapons in their arms and some were at the entrance. Any citizens they had previously passed on the road to the kingdom did one of these things; stare at the unusual angel or move away with fear. When they walked up to the gate the soldiers stiffened and stared at Chara in shock.
Chara looked between the two guards and then at the large arch of the entrance, “A-are the people here shy?” she asked turning her attention to the grand city in front of them.
“Some people are shy around new people, I think,” Frisk said continuing to lead Chara without a care in the world of the people’s reactions.
From down the street they could see someone who wasn’t particularly paying that much attention to notice them. This person was a goat, about the angels age. He was wearing a red bandana around his neck with a long sleeve gray shirt and pants. He had bright lime green eyes that sparkled like the stars.
After a second the small goat turned to the duo and his eyes widened, “Wow!!!” He said running towards the two.
After Asriel got close Chara slightly hid behind Frisk, “There’s another angel! That’s so cool! What’s your name?” Asriel said with unreal excitement and cocked his head along with the question.
Chara hesitated before answering, “I-I’m Chara-” She said quietly.
Asriel beamed at Chara, “I’m Asriel! It’s so great to meet you!”
After a second of smiling an idea sparked into Asriels head, “Ooooo! To commemorate a new friendship, let’s take a picture!!” He exclaimed pulling a device from a small satchel at his side.
Chara looked at the device confused, it was a square device with a glowing pattern on it, it was nothing she had ever seen before, “A-a photo?”
Asriel looked down at the device seemingly preparing to use it, “Yeah!”
Frisk turned to Chara with a sweet smile, “A photo is like a physical still memory, that’s the best I can explain it hehe.”
Chara nodded and Asriel went up to the two standing to the right of Chara putting her in a sandwich between the two boys. Asriel put up a peace sign and smiled at the device holding it just high enough to have everyone in frame.
Chara looked to the left of herself at Frisk unsure of what she should do. But all he did was smile at her still holding onto her hand. Chara just looked towards the device with a small smile assuming that’s what she should do and Frisk did as well.
Asriel took three photo’s and each time he hit the button it made a small click noise. Then three small copies of the picture appeared in his hand, “There, now there is one for everyone!” He said handing the small pictures to Frisk and Chara.
Chara stared down at the photo and Frisk told Asriel thank you. Asriel gasped after a second, “Oh! Mom and dad should meet Chara too!”
Frisk looked to Chara and gripped her hand a little tighter to draw her attention, “Chara, do you think you would be alright with meeting more people?”
She looked back up at Frisk and nodded meekly with a small smile.
“Okay, let’s go then!” Frisk said starting to lead Chara to the castle with Asriel walking along side them.
They walked for a few minutes before passing a large fountain, at the top of it was a flame with the water flowing steadily from a bowl under it into the larger parts of the fountain. Each level besides the bottom had flames on the rings. Multiple citizens, human and monster alike were congregated around the fountain, either chatting, or eating lunch. There were multiple trees around this area with lanterns strung along them. They were bare right now because of the winter months but still looked pretty because of the seemingly endless blaze inside of the square lanterns. There was also many displays and booths set up in a circle around the fountain area where many people were bartering and buying goods. After a little walking after passing that area a castle toward over them.
The castle was very large, it had grand red spires piercing high into the sky and the outside of the walls to the castle had many guards patrolling. On every edge that you can plainly see from the front there was a dragon gargoyle poised in a calm position with fire protruding from the eye sockets of the mighty stone beasts.
They approached a large wooden door with knockers as handle nearly the size of a basketball in diameter. Two guards gripping spears were at the sides of it. However, as soon as the guards looked at Asriel they grabbed the handles to the mighty doors and opened it for him. Then Asriel lead the group down a long marble corridor into a large open throne room. The room had the dragon gargoyles similar to the outside and a red silk carpet leading to two large thrones. The thrones were a gold with red silk cushions. Behind the thrones on the wall was an engraved large dragon that had fire shooting from it’s mouth and eyes. in the middle of the room was a large fire place crackling and sparking lightly.
Upon the thrones were two people, both goats like Asriel. The man on the throne to the left had blonde hair and large horns protruding from his head. He had the same green eyes that Asriel did. The man had a large royal cloak on, flowing down the throne. The cloak was white with a a sort of red fiery pattern on it towards the bottom and a silver clasp in the shape of a flame clipping it together. On the mans shoulders was shining silver metal plates. below the cloak was a set of armor with a crest in the middle of it. The crest had wings like an angel and around the wings were the symbols of the elements; fire, water, earth, and air with fire being in the middle. Finally a crown was perched on the mans head with red gems adorning it.
Beside the man in the throne to the right was a woman sitting politely with a small smile on her face. She was also a goat with a small crown on her head similar to the mans. She was wearing something similar to a robe with the same symbol that was on the mans armor in the middle. The main color throughout it was the same red on the mans cloak but her sleeves were a white with a red diamond on each elbow. Her eyes were a soft red brown with kindness in them.
Asriel gestured to the two sitting on the thrones with a smile, “Alright, there they are, my mom and dad!” He had said with great enthusiasm.
