Hi! Most of the time, people write about Batman, who is experienced, but what about Bruce in those days when he first became Batman (for example, the first year)? I like this version of Bruce because of his somewhat inexperience, isolation from other superheroes and lack of children, he basically has no one but Alfred and Harvey Dent. This version seems so desperate and broken. I think he would have felt guilty in front of his parents for being in love and happy with someone instead of spending that time lynching them
oh my gosh yes (i'm imagining battinson since he kinda fits your description), batman in his earlier years for sureee carried that guilt for a long time
like in the back of his mind, he knows his parents would've been so happy to see him happy, but he can't let himself feel love because (at the time) he would've believed that it would distract him from his mission :(
(im hoping u were being hyperbolic about "lynching" them lol cuz... i dont think he'd lynch anyone nor would he torture his lover) to me, that's why he stalks you/reader (using you for simplicity) in the beginning. as i said, he doesn't believe he deserves your love until something inside of him snaps. whether it's you being in danger or just his need for physical/emotional care.
i've written some stuff about early bats/battinson like this and dear diary (i think dear diary is the most in character)
