A strange pinging sound alerted Vincent that something had happened on his phone. He wasn’t quite used to using it yet, but he was pretty sure it was a message. Vincent clicked on the little icon and nearly dropped the device. Aerith was exposed in all of her glory. “What...?” He couldn’t bring himself to respond. Instead, he tapped on the picture and hit ‘save’.

Tifa had thoroughly enjoyed their girls day out. Cloud was busy and had encouraged them to go and have a fun date without him. Naturally, they went shopping and bought him some gifts. Including a dress to try on. Tifa couldn’t wait to see him in it!

With Aerith’s hand in her own, they walked down the stone path towards a pavilion. Tifa liked how her hand felt in Aerith’s; like she was being kept grounded and flying all at the same time. 

Her thoughts kept her from realizing that the skies were growing dark above. Aerith’s tugging pulled her out of her mind and she noticed that rain was beginning to fall. Her girlfriend looked at her with kind eyes, mentioning that they should get to shelter quickly otherwise their purchases could get ruined.

A wicked smile appeared on the brawler’s face as she agreed, scooping Aeirth up into her arms and jogging towards the shelter ahead, their shared laughter echoing around them as they moved. With their purchases safe under cover, the rain escalated as if a cloud had been ripped open above.

Aerith laughed, tapping her shoulder to be let down. Once Tifa set her back on her feet, the flower maiden put down their bags and ran out into the downpour, spinning around. She’s so pretty, Tifa thought, watching her in awe before feeling a hand yank her back out into the rain. 

The two laughed and danced around each other for a few moments, getting well and truly soaked and not having a care in the world.

Tifa took hold of Aerith’s hips, pulling her close and breathing in her sweet scent before capturing her lips in a tender kiss. Her face was hot despite the cool rain hitting her, her hold on Aerith tight as they kissed in the rain, simply enjoying their date...like Cloud asked.
