this is probably one of my more edgy middleschooler ideas but i think you would enjoy the emotional turmoil and horrible situations that can be achieved: if Optimus “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings” Prime had mind control powers (and was aware of them) he would absolutely hate himself. Can be anything on the spectrum from basic persuasion/hitting the “on” switch for a person’s suggestibility but not actually taking control of them to messing with their emotions but not being able to tamper with actual thoughts, to yanking total control over someone’s body and making them watch. No matter what it is he would absolutely hate having it, and categorically never ever give himself the same respect and bare minimum leniency he would give literally anyone else if they had the same ability and simply decided to not go out of their way to actively use it.

If someone who tries to keep it under control were to slip up occasionally he’d tell them that they’re doing their best and nobody is perfect. If he were to slip up for even the most fleeting instant with no outwardly noticeable effect on the people around him and caught himself doing it? Straight into the spiral of self-loathing.

He could have them for any reason (outlier, matrix, the interference of some cosmic force, etc.) and could hone his control to perfection so that he couldn’t possibly use it against someone on accident, but none of that would change the deep suffering he would inflict on himself for something he can’t control because he knows he can strip away someone’s autonomy without lifting a finger.

FASCINATING opportunities there, especially since we've Seen at least other mecha think that's how the matrix of leadership works, many fun implications if it IS how it works!!

Really fun Optimus angst there, him constantly working against such a contrary to his morals ability (though, I'm sure a desperate part of him at least Considers using it when it comes to stopping Megatron's more drastic actions)

(Fuck, if Megatron knows he'll accuse Optimus of using it even when he isn't wouldn't he?? Accusing him of controlling defectors and autobots to listen to him, that That's why the autobots do so well on the battlefield or why Megatron loses certain battles)

And setting Optimus vs Soundwave against/with one another here, persuasion vs telepathy, intriguing scenes there with Soundwave tapping into Optimus's mind just for Optimus to demand mentally scream Don't and Soundwave's forced to retract instantaneously. Ough.

Okay so, Crimson is a galaxy ranger but she takes her work seriously so she doesn't get along with boothill or Acrehon.

One day as she was finishing a bounty, She stumbled upon what seemed to be an abandoned home until she saw a small child who looked very ill and was about to be attacked by mara-struck,

Crimson quickly defeated and killed the mara-struck, The small child quickly thanked her and vowed to give her something in return.

Crimson was stunned but agreed, She decided to stay by the sick child until her time of passing.

And while she stayed, the poor child got worser by the day. On her near death bed, She requested Crimson to help her see the stars above.

Crimson gently and carefully picked her up. Walking into a flower field while holding her closeSlowly flying up to the nearest stars, Crimson made an illusion for the child to make her see that she touched the star.

And on her last breath, she whispered. "Thank you for this gift, Miss Crimson.."
