                        “Got knocked out, it’s different.” and, frankly, it seems to happen in Cliff’s presence an awful lot. Not for nothing, but the boy traipses through more violence than anyone she’s known who didn’t have fangs and a bat-ass face. She slowly pushes herself up until she can rest on her elbows and get a good look around --- it’s not his place, it’s damn sure not hers, but it’s not where she fell, “Wow. Didn’t leave me in the rat-infested alley this time? I mean, it’s progress. So, about the guy who jumped us... he still alive?”
