#angst talk

Hey, joining in the angst talk, one of my favorite fanfics is one where everything seems normal apart from the knowledge that there has been a traumatic experience, and then at the very very end it's revealed that the main character died before the fic starts and the fic is actually the other main character dealing with it. Which just throws everything you've just read into a whole new light and all the details start taking on new meanings. I love it.

trying to write some fluff since everyone is writing so much angst, but my mood isn't really cooperating enough to get it done....

maybe i should switch over and write that one really terrifying scene from icydk 😈

Uggggh my brain is like built for angst because all I can think about for your poor Reed is her slowly getting infected like with what happened with poor sweet Myla. Poor Tooth or one of the Troupe going to find her since she disappeared underground but when they find her her eyes are orange and she tries to attack them ;-;

Your brain produces quality angst anon 👌 (oh no sweet myla, I didn't even kill her in my first playthrough)

Okay, If tooth found Reed all infected and was attacked, that would be horrible because Tooth doesn't know how to defend themselves currently.

You know this makes me wonder if the troupe can even have dreams, since the essence of dreams and nightmares are pretty different. So them getting infected is pretty rare.

But imagining Tooth or Oscillia getting infected and Reed forced to put them out of their misery. Now that's angst that makes me sad

Oof I’m a sucker for Freed angst

I think I’m sucker for angst in general. It’s just this kind of masochist I am. But when it applies to Freed it’s rather specific angst, I would say. Because I can’t imagine him being angsty because of his unrequited love to Laxus and Freed being miserable over it, and Laxus being like a typical macho because hell no, thank you very much, take that away (ah, oh, cringy cringy cringe, my teeth hurt).

My type of Freed angst is…hmm…more complex I would say? It’s rather focused on some possible past issues, the things he could’ve experienced and that weren’t exactly pleasant. So like it’s angst concerning things we actually know nothing about. But I prefer it much more than “Laxus doesn’t love me, what to do” angst. No seriously, I personally can’t stand this “Laxus doesn’t love me blah blah blah” kind of Freed angst. Just no. Basically, Freed angst in almost any form is great, as long as it’s not this forbidden kind of angst.

wrote another angst fic. it wasn't too bad. i didn't kill anyone, just had a little bit of internalized homophobia.

I think the audience will enjoy it :)
