The last Animaco was really mixed but actually pretty nice! I will post a few pictures of it and just put a little unimportant text in here just to write it off my brain.
Well first of all I love my maids and my boss they are all precious and I hope they are not as sick as I am right now after that exhausting con and work. I am always happy to work with the team because they are all clever and mature people who do what ought to be done and being mostly calm. Saturday was more than stressful because we were down on 3 people in the background for preparing the food. This meant partially 30 wishes on 4 people and since we kept the stupid to go, they didn't cease and something always kept coming in. But we did it.
Then I really have to say it. The weapon check sucked. Those were some paranoid idiots and I am basically in the team, I work there each year, I know most of the security people. And they took away the 3d printed dagger because I quote it: "the core is too hard" how was I supposed to hurt someone with it and it's hard core???? I wore it on my hips under a coat and I only went to the weapon check because I am a honest human being. They took it and it made me so angry. I mean it was an essential part of the cosplay as assassin? And the desicion was useless? It wasn't even wood.
Saturday was far better even tho the time at work was going so slow, 6 hours went by like a snail and we were half out at 2pm. But after that I was so happy to run around with my cosplay partner as the lutece twins. People loved it and while we played the heads or tails scene my lovely "brother" was attacked by one incapable test subject while throwing the coin, almost against his head. Only luck prevented this precious genius brain from the damage. Just joking, tho the coin really almost hit his head and it was thrown rather strongly. Also people couldn't catch the coin? Anyway, this was a whole lotta fun.
But Sunday was a blast! I had so much fun with my friends, bless them. The shooting the walking around as party squad, the drawing and our con closing dancing session to horrible 80s and 90s Hits were perfect. (Also thanks to the free matcha latte in the morning, which saved me.) I just couldn't see anything. At all. Or breathe. Or properly talk, but who can with 4 hours sleep 3 days in a row anyway? Also with a gasmask on. Some probably, but not me.
In conclusion, it was a nice last Animaco, I will miss the building filled with so many memories and I was happy to meet most of my friends again. And next year the Animaco and the MMC will work together and move into a proper mess hall. Which I don't quite like, I mean yay space? But the school had something good, the noises weren't in one hall but in many different ones and rooms. You could find a calm place.
