I really wanted to do something to help the displaced animals in Houston. Thanks to @irisalmario, I saw her post about a truck from @animalhopeandwellness that was leaving for Houston to deliver supplies. I thought where could I get a lot for a little? I ended up at the .99 Store. I was able to buy towels, blankets, leashes collars and even a couple pet beds. I'm not one to promote shopping at the .99 cent store, as cheap often comes at a price, but there are some great finds. The bees are back 🐝! This is our 3rd hive. This time at the base of our stairs. We are going to try and relocate the hive. We had an amazing bee specialist come out. He wants to try a new method. I would just leave them. They don't bother me, but I'm concerned someone (like a neighbor or gardener) will spray in the hole and kill them. It's amazing to watch them come and go. The term "busy bee" is so true. They are very busy and then they are pretty much done for the day by 6pm. Lilli has a needle sticking out of her head...and her little body, but 😳not to worry. Acupuncture for dogs or any pet is incredible. What a difference it has made for Lilli. She is like a puppy again, running around and playing ball. I highly recommend it. Just make sure you have an accredited acupuncturist. A good referral always helps. Arlene Gillo at the Glendale Small Animal Hospital is fantastic. I could not recommend her or thank her enough. Acupuncture for pets is good for hip dysplasia, nerve injuries, degenerative joint disease, arthritis, allergic skin conditions, disease of the spinal cord, reproductive problems, seizures and epilepsy, asthma, immune function, inflammation, and digestion disorders. Lilli had injured her neck at some point, which moved down her spine and back and her back legs had given out and actually stopped working. I was hysterical. To see her now is night and day. She is healed and happy and enjoying her mobility soooo much! The video is from today and shows an herb called Moxa. Pressed into a charcoal stick, it is harvested from the mugwort plant. Mugwort has been used alongside acupuncture for over 3000 years. Moxa heats the acupuncture points and adds energy to the body. It improves blood flow, boosts the immune system and makes the acupuncture stronger. It is especially good to use on the back. In Chinese medicine the theory is the body is governed by Qi and blood that flow through meridians and organs. When blockage happens, problems manifest and symptoms occur. The needles in acupuncture manipulate your Qi and blood, so your body will recover and maintain health.
