high school was her new beginning. it was quinn’s chance to get everything right — become likable and prove herself as something more than what everyone thought of her. now she’s part of the popular clique, and for once it was a breath of fresh air to be at the top. people fear her, want to be her, and it’s like the life of lucy fabray was all just a bad dream. what she didn’t expect once she had everything she’s ever wanted, was to have to have to experience it without her best friend at her side.
the ultimatum that the cheerios issued on her lingered in quinn’s thoughts everyday. she won’t forget the pain she caused rachel and the look she had when she threw that slushie in her face. at least with the power quinn had now, she was able to make it so that she was the only person who could slushie her — it wasn’t any better, but she’d rather rachel’s assailant be herself than anyone else. the part she played came with a lot of guilt.
“ you really think i could manage to throw a slushie at you without issuing an apology? ” she plops onto the edge of rachel’s bed, sighing as she tugs the brunette by her hand and pulls her onto her lap. “ it’s still no better, ” she murmurs quietly, arms snaking around her best friend’s waist. being as close to her as possible had always given her comfort, even as regret fills her eyes. “ i miss you, rae. ” @animalsweaters
