A moving illustrated poster inspired by IU’s Blueming!

The Mind Reader Google Translate one is from the very first lyrics '뭐해?'라는 두 글자에 '네가 보고 싶어' 나의 속마음을 담아. The person asked “What are you doing?” but what they really meant was “I miss you”. I wrote them without spaces because of the lyrics 띄어쓰기없이보낼게사랑인것같애 about sending text without spaces.

The chatroom one was from the chorus that got me wanting to draw Blueming the first time. The lyric goes 우리의 네모 칸은 bloom 엄지손가락으로 장미꽃을 피워 ... 오직 둘만의 비밀의 정원, they’re filling the square chat box with roses, blooming the keyboard roses with their thumbs, thus the chatroom becomes their very own secret garden.

Well the bloom/gloom ambiguous script typography is taken from the title and the repeated blue (gloomy) and bloom in the lyrics.

The good timing clock is from 지금이 good timing, now is good timing, and any time is good timing.

That chat bubble balloons is from 2nd chorus that goes 엄지손가락으로 말풍선을 띄워, which is similar but different from the first one. In the first chorus, their thumbs were making roses bloom, but now they’re blowing speech balloons/chat bubbles.

The emoji roulette is from the 1st verse, which continues from the mind reader g-trans one, 이모티콘 하나하나 속에 달라지는 내 미묘한 심리를 알까, like do you know my subtle change of feelings from each emoticons I send.

And finally, the almost impossible miraculous blue rose! I read this in the annotation written by SilverScreen on Genius that said that one of the concept of this song was ‘bloom a blue rose and achieve love’.
