As commander he had the duty of training, assigning, and leading recruits. He was charged with assigning protective detail as well, when it came to the higher-ups and executives. Not that many of them needed it, it was more for research and scientific underlings than those in charge themselves. After all, each of them had been legally dead for-- Well for some of them it’s been nearly two decades. He’d known of the Ashfords, knew her petulant, spoiled, and irritating brother. She’d not hold his annoyance against her.
“I’ll be assigning Theta Team to your facilities for protection, Dr. Ashford. For the first weeks, I’ll be on site with them, ensuring they’re properly set up for protection of your assets and data.” He’d had about a year or so to properly train soldiers, plenty of time to teach them, but their field testing had been next to null considering he’d needed to train so many teams properly in a year. They had a few missions under their belts, but he wanted to make sure things went smoothly-- And that they weren’t going to be used as test subjects. Not that he didn’t trust her specifically. Death didn’t trust anyone, and things needed to operate smoothly and efficiently.
