Laura encapsulates everything that I want to be. Her passion for what she does, kindness, humor, and grace are absolutely inspiring. She really does have her own Cinderella story. I’ve been so so so lucky to meet her multiple times, and every single time I’ve met her she has been nothing but lovely and genuine. I always think it’s easy to tell when someone is putting on a front, even with professional actors, and there is no front there with Laura. She listens to you when you talk to her and it’s clear to see that she cares about what you’re telling her. When I told her that Bandstand changed my life and means so much to me, she looked me in the eye and said something along the lines of “Thank you. It changed our lives and it means so much that it changed yours as well”

She’s so supportive of all of her friends and is constantly lifting others up, which is so wonderful to see in an industry where the common is to tear down someone else to get ahead. Something I also really really admire her for is her faith. She’s open and honest about her faith, but not pushy or preachy at all. I really respect that as it is something that is difficult to navigate in the entertainment industry. She has been such a positive influence in my life, I only hope that one day I can have the same effect on someone else’s life.
